I would like to see one of these on a company with more than joint venture in China. Like the Toyota CH-R, and the Izoa, which is a CH-R with a piece of silver plastic on the bumper, because each joint venture needs its own model line.

Yeah, obviously it can’t solve all the problems. But it probably makes highway driving less dangerous for both the driver and other vehicles.

It looks like you’ve got a couple of cushion-on-plywood benches to sleep on, and that’s it.  This thing looks like it was made for Instagram.

In the years that I 0wned an Outback, there was one time the AWD came in handy: I was driving up the hill to a ski area. The roads had chain controls on (except for AWD/4WD vehicles). My Outback, with its all-season tires (and no chains) made it up the hill far better than any 2WD car on all-seasons would have done.

I mentioned this in another thread, but being able to more effectively put power to the road and move yourself in a variety of conditions is also a safety feature. There have been a number of times where that ability saved me from at least a fender bender, by allowing me to move my car out of the way when someone

Say what you want about modern Cadillac, but, with its EV push, it is offering something different than its luxury rivals, which is an all-out commitment to electric

Nothing matters once you get exceed what the laws of physics allow.  AWD does give you more options though, yes, even in turning or slowing down.

Potential buyers of this thing do know that RCSB trucks exist right?

That makes sense. 911 is only for accidents involving injury, if my phone says “are you OK” and I can’t respond? yeah, cue 911.

Yup. Except for the current supply chain issues, simple inflation explains almost all of vehicle price increases over the last couple of decades. And when you throw in improvements in safety and comfort, we’re getting better cars now than we were then.

You beat me to it but came to post this. If you account for inflation, it’s $25,481. I did a quick KBB “Under $25,000" search and it gave me back 50 results. That seems high, but even if you cut it in half, that’s 25 vehicles for sale under his 2008 $20k mark.

That one is legend. I frequent a few audiophile sites, and I’ve seen a few people comment that they really couldn’t care less about the car itself, but bought it specifically to get that sound system. Once it breaks in, it’s supposed to be incredible.

The Nakamichi system I had in my LS400 was fuckin BANGIN

How is it punching down? Are cyclists a protected group? Do they face systematic discrimination?

You hit on something. Growth.

It’s absolutely marketing, just like when Ford took the Raptor and the Bronco to the Baja 1000. They didn’t need to enter it into a race to get the data they needed, but I’ve seen so many people saying, “Wow! Ford really tests the shit out of them EcoBoost motors” that the marketing value of doing a stunt like that is

Honestly, I have a lot of issues with prosecutors simply having the option to prosecute minors as adults when they feel like it. It just strikes me as a very weird option to have, and like it might lend itself to certain abuses of power, depending on who the defendant is. Or how brown the defendant is.

And to add, if the defense is going to use “hes on the spectrum” as a defense, maybe, just maybe, he shouldnt have been given a license at 16 or 17. I have a 24 y/o son on the low end of the spectrum, and as much as I would like him to have his license, to this day he still doesnt have it because he just isnt there

you’re acting like rich kids are the only kids are the only ones who get light sentences for vehicular man slaughter. That’s just not true. both rich and poor kids get light sentencing for stuff like this. It’s just that when it happens to rich kids, the media laps it up. There are two kids i went to high school with.
