Fixing the outgoing model’s weird torque curve/powerband probably goes much further than the actual increase in power.

Don’t forget that a lot of early reports from owners stated quality problems/etc, and it’s still Kia, which means getting those issues fixed has been (apparently) problematic.  Less an issue on a 22k Soul, WAY more an issue on a 55k car.

When I was in highschool, we put a semi truck airhorn on a buddy’s Dodge Dakota. Hid it under the hood all nicely. It was hilarious to lay on the airhorn, especially if somebody cut you off.
