So many nice Diesel MBs were sent to the junkyard because of those garbage WVO systems. Yes, they can run on WVO for some time... but not for super long. If you want to do this long term, you have to remove the glycerin from the oil, turning it into biodiesel. WVO gunks up the injectors, rings, prechambers, fuel pump,

This is technically a Buick Electra with the Park Avenue trim package. The next generation car was named the Park Avenue.

S38 is right, the W116 did not have power seats, though the 6.9 had the option of a power rear seat. This was like the power rear seat on the W126, the base slides, which changes the angle of the back some.

I’d say the original cheap car challenge.

That’s fantastic!

I’ve got the complete B5 production spreadsheet someplace... it’s quite possible there are only 4 silver over black, stick, 2004.0 USA spec W8 Passat sedans made.

It’s possible to make the EQS look uglier? Hm, TIL.

Mercedes has offered these types of wiper blades for years. Tesla has used them on the Model X since it was introduced.
I did wonder how this is better than simply having the sprayers clipped onto the wiper blade like GM did for years and years.
Or just be like Mercedes in the 80s and have sufficient, properly

VW started fitting this to their cars in 2005 - I installed a retrofit relay on my 99 Jetta, and 91 Mercedes to give it the same functionality.

Yup.

Amazed the Cadillac ELR isn’t in this list! :)

Have I ever run my vehicles on BioDiesel? Yes. 1999.5 Jetta TDI, 1991 Mercedes, 1991 & 1992 Jetta ECODiesels.
I used B99 to B20, from a commercial source. It ran great... reduced exhaust smoke on the older cars, a quieter running engine, and a tailpipe that smelled like french fries!
I have *not* run waste veggie oil

No that’s single point injection. Electronic carbs were a normal mechanical carb, with some controls added to adjust the mixture. If the computer failed the base carb would still work.
It’s the American version of Bosch K-Jet / CIS.

Good news is Tesla does let you do a memory profile while driving.

It looks at which driver is on the driver’s side of the car.

VW does this too. On a modern VW if you toggle the power lock button a bunch (say, like if the lock motor has gotten gummy and you’re trying to free it up) it will disable the power locks, and set a fault code about childish button activation detected (I forget the exact text).
This just protects the motors from

EU cars might have airbags and cats, but they are different between the US and EU models. Lights are different, seatbelts might be different, glass might be different. Emissions controls / calibrations might be different. The size / shape of the airbags might be different. Fuel tanks might be different. There are a

They got rid of the 4 corner DRL requirement? I wasn’t aware of that!

If it’s not rusty, $1000 is a good price for *any* W124, let alone a V8!

Ya. But, the system is designed to give you lots of warning. First the power steering would fail, then the suspension would start to settle. Then once the suspension was totally down, you’d have no brakes. All the while a big red STOP lap would be shining in your face.
