That’s because there is no brake booster - the button is a valve which lets the high pressure oil go directly to the brake calipers. The brakes, steering, and suspension share the same fluid.
This also means if the engine stops, and the accumulators are bad, you have *no* brakes. The pedal isn’t a master cylinder,

I guess you’ve never owned an 80s or early 90s VW. Those had door handles that broke all the time.

It wasn’t that long ago Nissan offered a 2G to 3G upgrade for the early Leafs...

Why not make the rear window piece part of the door? Because they you have a sharp corner poking out on the end of the door, which is easily damaged, and makes the door much longer overall so it’s hard to get out in a tight parking spot.
The rear doors of a Mk4 Jetta include the rear most glass, and are oddly shaped

You think it’s silly... until you drive one.
(Spoken as a former V10 TDI owner)

As others have noted, this is not the case. You can only use one cord on a cabinet at a time.
They say they do this to help make sure the cord could reach cars with the charge ports in different places, but I’d think they could have just made the cables a bit longer.

Yes, all car makers seem to do this regardless of if the vehicle is an EV or not - you don’t want to cut through a gas cylinder for side airbags, for example.

Most VW cars from the 80s into the 2000s had this.

The upgrade fee would only apply to cars made before mid 2019, and only to owners who didn’t take advantage of the lower AP prices back then.... for a few weeks the cost to upgrade the computer, and get the FSD license was only $2000!

Well, one was a totally new platform, and the other is a refreshed W210 E-Class... an upright traditional sedan.

It’s close. It does not have dual zone climate control, it has dual zone Tempmatic. Fan speed and air direction are manual. This car does not have AC.
It also has manual windows. But they did option wood on the center console!

Odd choices of options... no A/C, but with rear self levelling suspension and ABS. (Well, I think SLS anyway. It could be the computer locking differential too, the same reservoir was used for both.)

The story goes that Ford had ordered a lot of those engines, and had many left over after cancelling their diesel car offerings. Vixen was able to buy them for cheap.

Yes. They have signes in the parking lot posted, too.

Cadillac put out some films about all the changes they made from the Nova platform. Quite a bit is different.

They did raise the bridge!
There are sewer / water lines under that roadway, so the road can’t be lowered.

Now playing

Oh I missed the original poll... I had a 91 Jetta ECOdiesel with 428,000 miles. Why had? A neighbor drove into the back of it at 40 mph while it was parked. I miss that little car.
The security cameras I’d put up a few weeks before caught the event:

These trucks feature an Aisin transmission... apart from some valve body issues they are quite reliable.

Looks like the seller has already lowered the price to $8500!

The stripped out Scirocco w/ a 95 Jetta’s ABA engine we ran in Lemons was 1800 lbs. Granted, it did have US bumpers and a roll cage. I’m still suspect of the under a ton comment :)
That said - the power to weight ratio of a VR6 Mk1 VW is *amazing*! A friend who used to be into Mk1s heavily said you have to be careful
