This is exactly the problem, if Brad Bird or some of the other rumored directors had been involved the new trilogy could have been great. I like the Force Awakens but when you look at the scrapped concept art, it could have been so much better. Letting Abrams write the 1st movie was the biggest mistake. To me the

I liked Can’t hardly wait but it seemed to be missing something. It felt cut down.

So I have no issue with Velma being East Indian, I do have a problem with live action adaptions of comics/cartoons/video games etc , leaving out the real draw. Maybe it’s because I was a child of the 80's where every comic book/cartoon adaption was embarrassed (and or lacked the technology) of the source material.

I think for me Man of Steel was as a big a disappointment as Superman Returns. Both movies are 2 sides of the same coin, Superman returns is too boring and Man of Steel seems like an over correction of that, going to much into action. Both of them have a main character who is distant from the audience.

I would have put Bill Whitaker near the bottom. Not that he was a bad guy but he you could tell his field was as a news anchor. He was very dry.

I really enjoyed this movie but what I remember most is the giant stand in advertising the movie in the theatre. I actually really miss going to the theater and seeing those big cutouts.

I agree, it’s really the only part of the movie that actually feels like it’s an Indy movie. It’s also the only part of the movie that looks like it was not filmed on a soundstage. The movie does such a poor job of making the sets look like real locations.

I’m actually looking forward to this. Mangold is a good director and having fresh eyes on the series could be just what it needs. Ford clearly enjoys the character. If nothing else we won’t have to look at Janusz Kaminski’s blown out cinematography.

I grew up with Marvel as a kid and spent years watching poor direct to video representation of my favorite characters. Even after X-men , Spiderman and Iron Man came out, the moment I felt like Marvel was finally honoring it’s comic book roots was when the Hellicarrier emerged from the water.

It’s a great summer movie, if I have only 2 criticisms of it is that Cap’s outfit looks terrible with the helmet on, and the opening action scene is pretty lackluster. Something about the way it’s shot and the bland sets makes it stand out from the rest of the movie.

For me the only part of Spiderman 2 that stands out is the train fight, the rest just doesn’t sit with me. I never really bought into Kirsten and Tobey in the roles and I think 2 makes things worse, as neither one really feels like they want to be there. The amazing spiderman series is a mess but I would argue the

And let’s be honest, aside from the last act, Whedon didn’t really do that much other then shoot a few scenes to gloss over what had to be cut. His inserted humor was bad for sure, and stands out like a sore thumb. It really surprised me after watching the Snyder cut , that Whedon’s cut was just a cliff notes version

I think you are right that Nolan didn’t want to make The Dark Knight Rises. The movie it most closely reminds me of is Godfather Part III. Batman/Michael Corleone are completely different characters at the start of the movie, previous supporting characters are sidelined, ie. Gordon, Alfred/Tom Hagen. Production design

I’m going to disagree on Skyfall, Casino Royale is the best of the Craig Bond movies.

I use my switch on 4K TV and it looks great, is it really worth an upgrade?

Is MGM really worth 8 billion? Bond is probably worth but MGM doesn’t really have much else.

So something maybe my American friends can shed some light. I see Republican’s blaming Biden for this. As far as I can tell Biden hasn’t really done much with Israel policy since he has come into power, seeing as he is preoccupied with Covid economic issues, vaccines etc. I’m just trying to figure out what exactly

I think in all fairness , the show was supposed to be about a regular black family . Urkel may have brought the show to popularity, and there were some episodes that still stuck to what the original intention was, but it’s most remembered for Urkel creating time machines and robots.

I don’t think this it’s really fair to shame landlords either. Yes there are large real estate firms who manage buildings that can afford to wait for payment, but there are also just regular people who maybe renting out basements or a 2nd property that are struggling without that source of income.

I’m sorry I must have missed something how is this in anyway better then the Alvin and the Chipmunks reboot? I thought the animation was just fine on that show. This looks like something from early 2000's
