Can someone explain to me what the purpose of the electoral college is if say in Florida if someone wins by 1% they get all 29 Electoral votes? What is the point of having multiple votes per state?

How can the so called world’s greatest democracy have such a terrible voting system?

Honestly as a Canadian , I think the slavish devotion to the text of the constitution is the downfall of the US. I’m not arguing the merits of having a constitution but it seems like the US bows down to something written 200 plus years ago without any thought to the times in which it was written.

I think what stands out to me when watching older horror or any movie really is how natural the colour scheme is. I’m really tired of digital colour grading the whole frame. I always find it refreshing to see a post 2010 movie that has a natural colour scheme.

None of it makes sense, why would anyone send the government a check for say a few million , just in case in 2 years you owe money. What advantage is there to that?

I think the show really needed one more episode prior to part 2 of the Two Faces. Something with some mystery but more character work.

On second watch it’s clear that the kids locked Dani in the closet because the doll indicated that the Lady was on the move

It seems like the dolls were controlled by the doll face boy. I think he placed the dolls to warn Flora where the the ghosts were. I don’t think Viola woke every night which is why the doll was so important to warn them. 

But I think the issue with Miles is that he tried several other ways to get home. The accident, the fight, and it took a more extreme measure to get them to send him home.

One thing I have to disagree with the author on with Bly is the notion that the haunting was ambiguous. It’s pretty clear in the 1st couple of episodes that the hauntings are real. Especially when it comes to the lady of the lake, look at the episode where the kids are keeping Dani occupyed because she is out after…
