I think the underpopulated world thing in the movies comes from Singer. Superman Returns Metropolis seems like the Warner Backlot with a handful of studio employees populating the streets.

I think the reason people gravitated to Singers X-men in 2000, is that until that point, all Marvel fans had were goofy 70's tv shows and low budget movies adapted from the characters. X-men actually took the characters seriously and they reasonably looked like the characters from the comics. Sure the action is…
I would have preferred something similar to the original X-men plot of stealing nuclear weapons or something rather then the mutation machine. The movie seems to be missing a 2nd act and the end battle is incredibly lackluster. In a Marvel movie of the time vacuum , it was ok, but as soon as you compare to other…
To be honest, X-men is an odd movie, I think I enjoyed it because it was head and shoulders above pretty much every other Marvel live action movie at the time, which really wasn’t hard. But looking back on it now it’s pretty cheap and lackluster when compared to other movies of the same time period. I mean X-men came…
I completely forgot about the Lost World. I loved Jurassic Park and could not wait to see the Lost World in theatre, what a boring mess that movie turned out to be, starting with Spielberg using his prestige cinematographer to make a dark gloomily lit movie as opposed to the look of JP
I couldn’t agree more, I thought the movie was ok but it just didn’t hit the right beats. It was decently shot, had a good score, most of the cast was good but it just seemed like it had no personality.
I was going to post the obvious , The Phantom Menace, but to be honest I think Kingdom of the Crystal skull was worse because of the talent involved.
I think the problem with the remakes is they don’t have a life of their own. I’m not opposed to live action versions of some of Disney’s movies, but I would prefer if they had their own voice, not slavishly trying to ape the animated version.
Is this the movie that the trailer gave away the entire movie? I mean Castaway level spoilers.

Whatever side of the fence you fall on abortion, it baffles me that Republicans claim this is about preserving life, and on the other hand doing nothing to make medical care accessible to Americans after they are born.
Personally, after this one I’m good with Craig leaving the role. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I think the Bond movies need to go back to being fun, oh and ditching Thomas Newman’s scores. For the record I love Newman as a composer just not for Bond.
I see these on facebook all the time and it’s amazing how many people don’t know BEDMAS (Canadian) or PEDMAS. The answer is 9. The only answer is 9 there is no other answer. Anyone who says otherwise did not pass highschool math.
The show was incredibly frustrating to watch with it’s plotting. Watching the 1st season you constantly felt like you were missing episodes in between.
What’s ridiculous about all this is that is seems like their is no oversight. Everything seems like Banks and everyone else just takes Trumps word for it.
As an AG he is supposed to be separate from Executive. But he seems to spend an enormous amount of time trying to defend Trumps actions and state of mind.
I think there a few clues to it, one is Cap having his beard in the post credit scene, and he is shaving prior to Tony’s return. Captain Marvel also gives them a little nod, they don’t seem shocked to see her.
I think that has to do with the fact that there was hope to bring everyone back.
I think the CM post credit scene fills in the details of Endgame. I suspect that she arrives, there is a conversation and Rocket mentions some kind of beacon on the Benatar. Which is how CM finds Tony in space. However it would ruin the effectiveness of the reveal of Tony’s rescue.
To be fair Endgame handled it much better. It felt like an actual story point rather then a Whedon-isc chance to subvert expectations.
