There were alot of growing pains with the phase 1 Marvel movies. For me Iron Man is the only solid movie until The Avengers , some of it I think was rushing the movies and another part was budgetary restrictions since the properties were unproven.

I could never get into the Avengers comics in the late 80's early 90's. I used to collect West Coast but they never seemed to have top tier staff on the books. Journeyman was how I would describe the books. It’s amazing the whole MCU is based off of these characters to great success.

Can I ask how guys like this, and guys like Ted Cruz get elected in the US?

A lot of people were skeptical about Iron Man, here was one of Marvel’s B characters coming to the big screen. I think people tend to forget that the Avenger’s , Iron Man, Thor, Cap were really 2nd tier characters in terms of comic popularity. It was also amazing to see Iron Man depicted fairly accurately visually on

I wonder if some of the lost enthusiasm over the Dark Knight is due to the divisiveness of Dark Knight Rises?

Why are the media so afraid to just call out this administration to their face for their bullshit, I’d like to see someone really take Sarah Sanders to task over Trumps rhetoric being at least partially to blame for this current rash of terrorism. Trumps rally’s and his railing against the media give someone like the

I haven’t seen the show yet but I’m not sure having a writer from Clickhole inspires me with confidence

This an embarrasement, Trump can’t get up on stage, call to Lock her up , call the media fake news, talk about low iq Maxine Waters, call the Caravan a Soros’ funded plot and then wonder why some yahoo sends out bombs to targets. To the person carrying out these attacks, it legitimizes their particular actions in

Well for example in Jedi the brought back Tatooine , a 2nd Death Star, just a generally recycling of ideas.

Someone has to call Trump out on this, he may not have sent the packages, but his rhetoric has led to some people thinking this is ok

I really enjoyed the show but I felt the last episode fell down in tone. I think I was underwhelmed about the reveal of what happened during the last night in the house. Maybe it’s because we first find out from Olivia’s perspective, but I thought it could have used more dread.

The robot parents arc was just before the clone saga, a very dark time for Spiderman comics.

Very true. In regards to the parents storyline, the opening of ASM 2 with is parents on the plane is probably the most disconnected thing I have seen in any superhero movie.

I fully believe there is a good movie in ASM2 somewhere, with all of the footage reassembled into something more coherent and focused. I really like the opening with Peter chasing down the Rhino. It’s the way Spiderman 3 should have started , have Spiderman battle a C list villain of some sort.

The ASM movies might have been interesting had they ditched the “untold” story stuff. They seemed to have decided to ditch Peter’s parent’s story in post production.

I love this movie, the look of it is perfect. The movie would have been better with leads other then Ryder and Reeves though. During the 2nd half Reeves gets pushed into the background and it’s a bit better.

It seems everyone gives Raimi too much of a pass on this movie, blaming the quality of the movie on the forced inclusion of Venom. This movie has a load of problems that have nothing to do with Venom. Peter and Mary Jane never seem like they have an chemistry, the goofball bad Peter scenes and falling into the 3rd

I always get the impression from this movie that Singer didn’t think Routh could act. He gets very little dialogue and Superman/Clark almost seems like a background character in the movie. The only scene I can think of that really had Clark interacting with anyone was the bar scene with him and Jimmy. Step dad Cyclops

What’s even worse is that Superman hasn’t be on the big screen for almost 20 years at the time and we open the movie with an old lady getting scammed.
