That quote was literally the plan of the evil Delos corporation in Westworld. Imagine being so awful that your ambition chimes with a show which has the lowest possible view of humanity.

Westworld’s finale was a bit of a bloodbath, and there was a fair bit of speculation that this cull might be in preparation for a smaller season 3 budget...

I was scrolling down to mention this! That version of Hopkins was also...strangely hot.

A reminder: England haven’t won a knockout round match since 2006. The chatter about which route to the final is easier for us seems...a wee bit premature to me.

Bernard stops the deletion process, so i’m guessing some of the data is still there.

Indeed. Especially as they told us in the finale that all the employees were being monitored in the Forge too.

In season 1, Hale uploads the data to Abernathy (since he was just decommissioned and sat in cold storage) and tasks Lee with creating him a personality to get him out of the park.

Lee: “I’m going to keep provoking you into killing me, even though I could buy more time alive.”

This is sort of where I am too. Despite the fact that i’m sure Maeve will be back, I don’t like her enough to compensate for how little I like everyone else who’s left. It seems like Dolores will still be front and centre next season, so i’m afraid I am out...

It’s a mystery for now - they haven’t revealed it...

‘That simultaneously makes sense and is stupid as hell.’ Ah, the Westworld tag line.

I don’t think they’re ‘host detectors’exactly - they’re designed to check for the explosive charge in their necks.

Seeing it all written down only confirms for me what an exhausting, convoluted mess this was. Like if the worst excesses of Moffat’s ‘Doctor Who’ produced an unholy spawn with the bad seasons of ‘Lost’.

Based on the map of the park, it seems that the actual exit is the other side from the Valley Beyond...

I’m attending an early screening of the finale tomorrow at the BFI, and will then have to avoid the internet until Sunday for fear of accidentally blurting out spoilers. Wish me luck.

The character went by the alias Grace until they revealed her actual identity.

Charlotte is just the absolute worst. Completely lacking in a single redeeming feature. I am positively craving her death at this point.

Ditto. This is rarely a show I engage with on an emotional level - I normally find myself turning it round in my head like a puzzle -but between the scene in cold storage, Lee losing it over Maeve, that mother crying over the lock of hair and the ending, I was a blubbering mess.

Elsie was heading down to the vehicle port last time we saw her, so I think your last option there is quite likely...
