Here’s hoping.

And yeah. I read that wrong. I’d mixed up Worldwide and International.

The scenes are in the movie but it doesn’t rely on them too much.

Welp. Fingers crossed it does really well on VOD.

I’m only going off memory. I remember Spider-verse built up to those numbers very gradually through word of mouth. Then the sequel just crazy at the box office.
Turtles, by the numbers you posted, has more than tripled its budget. Now I don’t know what their int’l distribution deals look like, but since it’s theatrical

Maybe they should make it a surprise and announce it the week-of. It feels like they did that this year, though I don’t remember exactly how long ago I heard about it.

I was really hoping that it would help The Last Voyage of the Demeter, or at least that the film would do well internationally. The movie would have been a great jumping off point for a Dracula or even Universal Monster franchise. As it stands now, I’m guessing the movie will become a cult hit via streaming, but it

I did watch the cartoons.
That being said, I watched the episodes that streamed last week, and I think casual viewers can fill in the blanks as much as audiences in 1977 were able to fill in the blanks concerning Kenobi’s back story.

Ehhh... I liked them both. It’s weird to me that after a decade and a half of pretty decent guilty pleasure entertainment, people seem to be holding Marvel to some high standard, once Endgame rolled credits. They’re all pretty good, except The Dark World (just didn’t like that movie at all.)

I take it back. I just got The Righteous Gemstones spoiled for me by AV Club.

Agreed! I always wait for my son to wake up on Wednesdays to watch Star Wars with me. I wake up at 6:00 and he wakes up at 7:00. The day of The Mandalorian S2 finale, I (stupidly) looked at Twitter’s trending page and saw Luke Skywalker and Mark Hamill trending and I knew exactly where that episode was going.
So for

Yeah. Doesn’t change for me either.

I’d prefer to save all of the episodes until they’ve finished airing but then I have to avoid all my social media (Reddit, Twitter) so I don’t accidentally read entire recaps. Avoiding those for a few hours, days, or even a week is easy, but a month is a bit more difficult. So I’ll watch Wednesday mornings.
I’m not

My daughter and I cannot stop quoting, “I fucking love fingerling potatoes!”

Don’t star me. Leave me in the greys. I’m just popping in to say that the payoff to this thread was worth it!

I’ve seen a few on this list, but no movie has disturbed me more than Compliance. Everything from the antagonist’s MO to the other characters’ willingness sickened me so much.

I loved this movie so much. I don’t hate Crystal Skull... it improves just a bit every time I watch it, but Dial of Destiny is the Indy movie I’d been waiting for since 1989*. I’ve read other peoples complaints and the ones I understand, I don’t agree with. I don’t care to understand the other complaints as I don’t

Who was the original cameo?

I enjoyed the hell out of The Flash. I’m disappointed that it did poorly because I had read a rumor that Batman Beyond hinged on its success, but I totally get the number of reasons people either didn’t bother or had no interest in it. But I still liked it.

Of the films I’ve seen in this list, I really agree with the majority. Though for me, Shadow of the Vampire should be in the top 10.

I love this show, but last season didn’t make me laugh quite as much as the first three seasons, with the exception of Colin acting like an accurate child.
That being said, Season 5 is on its game! I’ve laughed more this season than the previous seasons combined! Pride Parade and Local News were some of the funniest
