The Middle East is already a shit show and gas prices are fine. It’s not 2007 anymore.

This is actually in Indiana, where they’re apparently trying to tax people into destroying the environment.

Somebodys gotta cater to the Free Candy” market...

With registration costs like that I assume you are in CA. Its absurd for sure. I still pay over 200 a year for my Solstice which gets driven around 2500 miles a year. My Tesla was 618 to register this year. My old SS Sedan was at about 480/year before I sold it.

Uhaul has to get vans somewhere.

Fleet/rental?

Just wait until this recession grows legs or someone farts in the middle east (Like Netanyahu annexing a populated portion of the west bank) and people can’t afford gas for their monstrous trucks/SUVs. then they’ll want small cars and sedans.

Plumbers gotta plumb. They also sell the chassis-cab for RV upfitters. A 1-ton Express/Savana with a 6.6 Duramax was 2/3 the price of a similarly equipped Silverado or Sierra. Now they only offer them with the 6.0 Vortec or 2.8 Duramax.

2nd Gear: Mrs. Ghost’s Prius costs us an extra $100 a year in registration fees, despite the fact that she still pays for gas at the pump, just at a better MPG rate. It’s some absurd, regressive bullshit.

I was a Ford fan for most of my life, but their decision to abandon sedans brought that to an end. Whether or not it proves to be a fiscally sound decision remains to be seen.

In my state there’s annual vehicle inspections that must be done prior to registration. They read the OBD, which has mileage. The DMV gets the inspection data electronically from the testing businesses already, so I’d think it would be a slam dunk for the DMV to calculate your mileage from the previous year and use

It is also recalling 91,000 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles from model year 2019 because the seatbelt-unfastened warning light will not illuminate for approximately five seconds after the ignition is moved to the “on” or “start” position, which means they are not in compliance with federal motor safety

micro management of vehicles to determine those registrations means way more tracking of vehicle and location data that people will probably not be comfortable with.

2nd Gear: I live in a state where a gas tax was passed, and then voters went to the polls and gutted it, and that isn’t unique. Nobody’s paying their fair share for the roads, and if we’re going to complain about EVs being tax dodgers, that also needs to be turned around.

I predict Ford investors will be quite moody.

tom Brady -made out with a young, male relative.

Ok only half of those things matter.

My family used to be casual sports fans, but we are all very competitive so I got them into Fantasy Football. Explaining to my parents about star players, and why they are not liked is enough to have second thoughts on paying attention to what has become (or maybe what was, but what was not known) the evil empire that

“This looks really bad...but we know he can masturbate to completion,” argued Patriots owner Bobby Two-Strokes*. “Surely, I can still find something for him to do.”
