First, the article implies that Timberlake heavily influenced the decision to the point of coercion, which would be fucked up. Then 2 paragraphs later, Britney says she ended up agreeing with the decision. Which she then immediately walks back with not being sure if it was the “right” decision and, independently of

Fair point and as someone near that Gen X/Millenial turnover mark myself, maybe this affected me as well.

I actually do love metal and the vibes I always got were that it was like Spinal Tap: both an homage to and parody of the genre.

1. Congrats to Japanese culture on a discomfort with littering. Both for wanting cleanliness and not wanting to be a dick to everyone around them (at least in terms of cleanliness).

As someone who occasionally eats vegan (meaning that I am not vegan or even vegetarian, but my family does vegan nights occasionally for dietary variety), I have found that the least successful vegan dishes are the ones that try to emulate non-vegan dishes. Having the vegan version seems like a letdown and makes me

Not saying the Venture Bros should be #1 necessarily, but it is my favorite of the ones listed.

This. Given that there is a ton of streaming content out there and I have young children, I just don’t have the capacity to make things viewing appointments, especially on streaming where *one of the selling points* is being able to watch at your own pace. I wanted to watch 1899 for example but I feel like it was

1. As an old, I remember the days when Best Buy’s floor space was mostly CDs and DVDs. That seems absolutely archaic now and I guess that footprint will be used for more TVs and appliances? FWIW I also remember Best Buys having a car stereo section.

I get regional pride or whatever but... this sounds like 99% of Italian sandwiches on the east coast. I have no idea what makes this unique to Philly in any way.

Strong “you didn’t save us from ourselves, so you’re the bad guy!” energy coming from the repubs here.

It’s been awhile, but I thought 3 was not very good. Yeah, it introduces the iconic mask, but beyond that, all I remember is the distracting shots clearly intended for 3D.

That’s why I am not getting out of joy out of this chaos (well, beyond the fact that as a US citizen I’d like these elected fuckers to govern). Somehow, it is is always going to be the Dems’ fault, or evidence the system is broken, or anything other than the truth: repubs have shitty ideas and can’t even collectively a

I generally like A24's output but this seems both inevitable and sad.

These idiots couldn’t even correctly identify the villain in Avengers: Endgame.

Every so often I will feel inclined to watch The Raven (2012) because it *seems* like it is right up my alley. And each time, I remember that the reviews of it range from “laughably bad” to “kind of mediocre if you’re inebriated” and I just skip it for something else.

I don’t really find this surprising. Grande has always sort of come off as someone who thinks very highly of herself and does what she wants when she wants, other people or consequences be damned. Preventing her ex from revealing anything negative helps further this goal, so it’s a no-brainer.

Every time a repub makes a pop culture or literary reference, my first thought is Kenneth from 30 Rock saying, “Remember that movie Footloose, where those evil kids won in the end?”

Glad to hear it got renewed. I might even enjoy this more than the first series.

I see what you did there.

I bring this up with my partner all the time. In 2005, I remember *multiple* people insisting that Bush was marching us straight into the apocalypse, that this was the worst it had ever been or could be, that the end was really and truly near. In 2020, some (though not all) of these same people would say things like
