Agreed, Castlevania was leagues better about it.

Anecdotally, I have reached the point where I know that 1 in every 20 orders or so is going to be messed up (forgot the mayo, 3 creams in the coffee instead of 1, etc.) that I accept it as a given. I shouldn’t, but I do.
Maybe I am just having a bad day, but this just strikes me as sick AF. Fuck Shell, IGN and those streamers and I am glad that people are pushing back.
This seems like pretty run-of-the-mill self-serving bias that repubs have been dealing in for a loooooonnnnggggg time now. If the song was a hit (lol) she would be crowing about how she was a great singer. It’s not and it can’t be because she sucks - it’s DEEP STATE and LIBRUL CONSPIRACY TO CENSOR THE ARTS. Or…
The Exorcist and Halloween are two of my favorite horror movies. After seeing what DGG did with Halloween, I think I will politely decline to see the new Exorcist. Not that Halloween 2018 was bad, I just thought there was not much going on that justified the amount of praise it got.
Add me to the list of people that think this methodology is seriously suspect. Bulk orders sold by candystore.com (a site I heard of for the first time, while reading this article) and “other outlets”? How would candystore.com even get access to see what and where other outlets are selling?
Setting aside the rankings since those are subjective, a few thoughts from an internet rando:
I have mixed emotions about this season. I liked it overall, but it seemed more like the season was about Oliver’s show, with the core trio’s relationships being a far B-plot and the murder being a C-plot. I get that the show needed to change things up a bit from getting stale, but to me, they focused on the thing I…
“I would never join a club that would have me as a member.”
I think it never gets disputed because the people who believe it to be true are never going to be swayed. Even when repubs fail to produce a single fucking case ever where it happened, their supporters claim that the records about those 9 month abortions are being suppressed or that these procedures *could* happen…
I’m the outlier here. I like cereals, especially dumb kid cereals. I do not eat them every day, but its usually like a week or 2 of cereal, then something else for a week or two, cereal, something else, etc. That said, these days I usually get whatever is on sale, v 10 years ago when it was “I want Count Chocula, I’m…
A couple things:
This idea sounds like someone in marketing was told “come up with an idea” by the end of Q2 and this was the best they could do. Not good, not practical, won’t sell... but it’s *something*. At least someone will get to keep their job for a bit until it doesn’t sell.
Good points all around. It’s funny, I hate on JJ Abrams for the mystery box approach and in a lot of ways, X-Files did something similar. Not a mystery box per se, but to your point, it always seemed to hint at something larger. Sadly, when the audience got those things, they were kind of a letdown.
repub to solutions are always some version of “wish for an ideal solution that does not realistically address the problem at hand and complain that the Dems are fucking it up when it doesn’t pass”. Gun control? Need moar gunz. Abortion? Women should just be breeding and if you don’t want a baby, don’t have sex. Border…
I like Flanagan (Midnight Mass in particular was something I enjoyed) but agree on the monologuing. I read somewhere, maybe even a commenter here on AVClub, that it is emblematic of so many Netflix series that have pacing problems. It got to the point where I would see Kate Siegel and Zach Gilford in the same room and…
Yeah, this is us too. I look at the pictures and read a couple reviews, both good and bad and use those as data points. It’s not the end-all-be-all of the decision-making process, but it helps.
My friends all thought Pea was hilarious. TBH, I am listening to the album now.
And I fully support that! Different strokes for different folks and all.
Fair. I loved Community S1 a lot but at that point it was still kinda grounded in reality (the big exception of course was the paintball episode, which was amazing). And there were a number of those surreal episodes I did like - D&D, Remedial Chaos Theory, the animated GI Joe one, etc. The episode that sums up the…
