Glad I’m not the only one forcibly trying to revert my life to 2019 after a series of failed personal ventures in the wake of the pandemic. But if we’re on the same path, they’ll quickly find that the feeling’s just not there anymore, and the good times are gone for good.
If the point is to be regressive and try to recapture what made the last two Avengers movies so massively successful, I don’t think bringing back the Russos would be enough. A lot of what made those two films and Captain America: Civil War work despite the crazy amount of elements they had to juggle was the incredibly…
Or Mo Cheeks helping out Natalie Gilbert when she blanked on the anthem before an NBA playoff game:
I fucking HATE Trump but wish him shot in the head is a shitty look and makes the left look just as bad as the right. Also Jack Black does Tenacious D mostly for fun these days, he makes his money voicing animated characters for kids movies. He basically had to put the brakes down hard and back up or lose his revenue…
Jack’s reaction here is really disappointing. Even if he disagreed with the comment and thought it was in bad taste, throwing your friend and creative partner for decades under the bus to this extent is a big shame.
Between JD Vance and Aileen Cannon, there’s batshit insanity happening roughly every two hours.
I love Heston’s dressing-down of Faisil (hat tip to the author for that info nugget) after Schwarzenegger and (T) Arnold’s deflections on what a mess they made. “What makes you think the slack I cut him in any way translates to you??”
IIRC, this was around the time where the standard villain was starting to move from a brown man with an accent to a fantastically wealthy white man. Or, occasionally, an Eastern European white man with an accent. Although most of those were either Russian Oligarchs or wannabe Russian oligarchs, so still fantastically…
I don’t understand this website period.
I don’t understand this website’s level of hatred for harmless movies made for six year olds.
Tina Fey just laid it all out in an interview with Conan O’Brien. “It’s a schedule built around cocaine. Then the Seventies end. As far as I knew, nobody was doing cocaine when I was on the show, but they still kept the schedule.”
I’ve worked in the corporate world for nearly 25 years. Every single one of the interns I have ever worked with(include when I interned at my first company 26 years ago), got that internship because someone in their family new someone at the company. This is just how the real world works
More like Letitia Wrong, am I wright?
“As Spiro pointed out, the biggest question in the Rust case remains: how did actual live rounds end up on a movie set?”
Executives and senior “leadership” in every industry are largely a bunch of incompetent sociopaths and morons. NONE of them “earn” their exorbitant pay and perks through competence and capable leadership.
It’s called “market cannibalization”. It’s a very basic concept of product development. I imagine they had very smart analysts who warned them about it, but management loves to ignore research they pay for. I have a theory that becoming a C-level executive is harmful to your cognitive abilities.
It seems like common sense to me that giving someone the option of consuming quality entertainment in their own home whenever they want vs. forcing them to drive to a strange place and contend with schedules and the masses, most people will opt for the former. Going out to see a movie has to be something I voluntarily…
So, no Mighty Max movie either, then? Maybe they’re better suited to a... mini series.
Oh, my point was that those are the basic things you do to reassure voters about your age and stamina...except everyone and their mother knows at this point that Biden is just not up for it. I think a live, 1-hour townhall would go disastrously for him, and the Biden campaign knows that too. That’s not a good thing.
