I wouldn’t say that Wendy Davis was the last great Democratic hope. I’m pretty sure most Dems knew it was a shot in hell for her to even get 25% of the votes, much less win. There are Dems in office and there are a LOT of Republicans who despise Ted Cruz so much they’re willing to vote for Beto. Furthermore, there are

THANK YOU for such a concise, comprehensible explanation.

They delve into her past quite a bit more in the book than they did in the show.

I absolutely loved that movie! It warmed my cold heart that feels deadened and numb with our current state of the world. I am on board for sequels - especially since I heard that Jenny Han did not take more lucrative studio offers so that she could ensure the Lara Jean would stay half-Asian.

YESSSS. That’s some Crazy Ex-Girlfriend style plot twist and I am here. for. it.

AGREED! It’s like we got a teeny tiny taste of Astrid and Kitty. I know there are certain changes necessary for successful print-to-screen success, but I hope they keep it true to book 2 and let us delve into the other characters more. They were significantly more entertaining.

THEY BETTER. Although if they’re allowed to make any changes to the plot of book 2, let’s have Astrid and Charlie ride off together into the sunset after kicking Michael in the nuts. Pleeeeeeease.

YES! I’m 30 and watched it with my husband. We both teared up at the end and got majorly emotionally invested in the characters. It was such a sweet movie and finished with so many happy feelings. Sometimes, I just need a sugary sweet (yet still witty) rom-com to balance out the crap of everyday life.

She’s 30?! Makes sense as to why I was having issues reconciling how much older she looks and how different she looks from the sisters. Even if she played a teenager for years (as another poster noted), it was very clear to everyone that she’s not even close to 18. Thankfully, she wasn’t onscreen very much.

Her room was AMAZING. I immediately made a comment to my husband about how much I loved the wall as we were watching it.

Acting that way is not acceptable, no matter your gender. I would have (and do) get just as angry when I see men treat other people that way. That’s why everything I see has a red tint whenever I hear Ted Cruz speak.

Kudos on “Leakphoid Mary”. One of my new favorite nicknames for this shithole of a person.

She was just as condescending to Chuck Todd yesterday - talking over him and not answering his questions. Chuck is usually able to be neutral with his guests, but you could tell he was getting frustrated with her.

Our story begins with an entitled conservative prince, the commentator Ben Shapiro, who like any perfectly self-assured, capitalist man imagined he could buy anyone’s time, or at least generate some good publicity.

Her boss.

We adopted 2 kittens at the same time (not from the same litter, though), so they’ve grown up together. One is super calm and tolerates almost anything, including being held like a baby, pushed over when he’s just standing there, and being held while dancing around the living room. The other cat was a spaz from the

My chill cat is pretty good about letting us know when he’s done being held. He tolerates being held like a baby for a little while and when he’s done, he’ll put one of his paws on your face and hold eye contact until you put him down.

Game Over, Man was absurd, mindless, nonsense. The cameos (and the booze) made the movie somewhat worth it, though.

I’m going to guess that it PROBABLY had nothing to do with BBQ, but with a trio of (likely drunk) dumbasses who wanted to add something cool-looking to their aquarium on a dare. Still horrible.

Agreed. And Friends With Benefits gets better with each half-watch on TBS, whereas No Strings Attached was just cringe-worthy.
