I always used to fall asleep listening to mixed tapes, way back when. The predictability of the play list would send me to sleep. I should definitely try a sleep story or hypnosis. Thanks for the suggestion!

That sounds like a good routine. I had a couple guided meditations/ body scans on my old phone that I should dig up from the depths of my laptop. I doubt I'd get any cyclobenzaprine, but someone else suggested edibles, which could be an option.
Thanks for all your suggestions! I’ve considered a happy light for the winter. One of friends has bipolar and she loves hers. She just has to be careful not to over do it, bc she’s prone to getting speedy. I can’t take benadryl because I’m allergic, so no chance of dependency! I’d stop breathing first.
Thanks for the suggestion! It’s legal here, so easy to get. I’ve never had an edible. If I can’t sleep by Friday, I might give it a try.
I’ll keep you posted! I couldn’t sleep until 4 or 5am on Thursday/Friday, and not before 2 or 3 the other nights and I’m a zombie.
I once took an over the counter sleep aid that was mostly benadryl, closed my eyes for a moment, and when I opened them it was 4 hours later. Unfortunately I’ve developed a drug allergy to benadryl (seriously!) so I have to avoid it and similar drugs like gravol. But you’re right, it’s probably time to try something…
I love preschoolers! They’re adorbs!
Apparently I've decided that sleeping at night is for suckers. Anyone got anything that's helping them sleep right now? For the past couple weeks I've up most of the night but getting up for work in the morning and I'm exhausted!
I'm glad everything went well!
That looks so good! I’ve never tried a tagine but I learned how to make shakshouka earlier this year, and it’s now in regulat dinner rotation. I love dinners that you can prep and then let them cook with minimal supervision.
If you ❤ doggies, you should visit Fur Face Friday at groupthink (dot) kinja(dot) com tomorrow :)
Looking forward to seeing it! 🦄
Thanks!😊
I’ve been really thinking about how to address their mental health/ well-being and let them have time to talk about their experiences. I was thinking of having a social night or start a virtual extracurricular- after I finish writing IEPs. I haven’t left the house all weekend, and I still have to prepare for next week.
🤞🏼 for a happier Nov. 4
Done! This morning you had the prayers and agnostic/ humanist spiritual thoughts of a group of canadian unitarians. Best wishes to your son for a routine surgery and swift recovery, and to your family on continuing to dodge that virus!
And right now, who would know? The authenticity police need to avoid gatherings too lol
I could see that. I’m sure they were being very careful about representation. I haven’t watched it in years, but I remember I really liked the characters and it was relaxing to watch.
I have found what may be the perfect content for right now
In Canada, hardly anyone drinks tea with lemon, it’s always milk and sugar or honey, so you’d fit right in here. I like to warm the milk a little first, or even skald it, especially on a cold day.
