I guess the gender weekdays cut down on crowds, maybe? And they’re easier to police than doing it by household. I hope the plan works. Is Panama able to get some of the vaccine?

They’re doing takeout tea boxes while dine-in is shut down, which look really nice.
That's impressive! Did you snack on it post-finals?
What is their thinking about having a curfew, if everyone is just gathering earlier in the day? Looks idyllic though. Sucks to be stuck inside all weekend and alternating days. Smart to be stocked up on drinks, weed and puppy!
I read some advice about how the way to deal with the weirdness of the year is to make some new traditions this year. Which makes sense, I guess. I’m thinking of Chinese and a movie on xmas eve, followed by skype xmas dinner on the 25th. Anniversaries and holidays are tough after someone’s passed away. Tex mex is a…
Very nice looking loaf!
Pregnancy loss is hard. I’m glad you’ve found a doctor who’s taking your symptoms seriously. Honestly, I wouldn’t blame you if you threw in the towel on the family gathering, had xmas at home and video conferenced your sister.
Happy holidays to you too! I managed to do a reasonable amount of planning, but I still need a gift for my sister. She’s local and is happy with gift certificates. I’m thinking part of her gift will be afternoon from a local tea room she enjoys.
That's what I was thinking too.
They got rid of their repressive right wing provincial govt, and then threw themselves in the absolute opposite direction... it‘s an odd place.
Same. I was very, very aware that despite being born there, I wasn’t really from there, and it was much, much worse for the south asian kids I grew up with.
Wow! That sounds intense! At school we started to get on better once we started to take part in school teams and choirs together in grade 3 or 4. But FI kids were bused in, so there was my own neighbourhood to contend with too.
The joy of being a come-from-away in FI in the 80s. Look at what’s happening in the lobster fishery right. Obviously, the anti-indigenous racism is waaaay more extreme, but under that down-home hospitality (which is real, and I’ve experienced that too), there’s a deep vein of bigotry, xenophobia and a strong distrust…
I get the opposite. I start in French, but they hear my anglo/ FI accent and often switch to English. 😅 Equally demoralizing.
I was in one of the first french immersion classes in an anglophone province. Someone spray painted a line down the middle of the playground, and we “french” kids knew to stay on our side. I also got my ass kicked in my neighbourhood for being in FI, and I overheard my mom’s school trustee friend, say that another…
I'm not sure, but I assume all of it?
That’s one of my favourite PSAs of all time.
Lol I’m on team molt-and-start-over. My bunny goes through something similar a couple times a year. No bald patches, but she looks pretty scruffy for a week or two, with tufts of fur sticking out in a line that slowly works its way from her shoulders to her tail. Buttercup is still a very handsome chicken.
Tbf, the spike last weekend isn’t related to Halloween. It takes about 3 weeks for a spike caused by an event to show up in cases #s (or for our actions to cause #s to go down.) If Halloween caused a spike, we won't know until later this month.
That’s true, since waaaay more dems voted by mail, trumpers would be over represented in exit polls. I guess the pollsters can do some math to compensate for that.
