Thank you. I agree and I think the key with alcoholism and drinking is moderation. If you are unable to drink in moderation, then you have a problem with alcohol. I also feel like I've been cursed with a ridiculously high tolerance for alcohol and that makes it harder for me to stay on the level with others in terms

Yeah, since my mom's being going through the whole rehab and sobriety process the overwhelming definition of "alcoholic" is someone who cannot drink in moderation. Simple as that. However, they've yet to define what moderation is. Hah.

That's fantastic. Congratulations.

Thanks! Yeah I've set some rules for myself. As it happens, I have go get up hella early every day for work so I've cut out drinking during the work week, which I almost always stick to. I think us just being self aware of how quickly it can become a problem helps.

Seems like you and I had pretty similar experience. My entire life I can remember my mom going through her whole day like a normal person and then drinking and subsequently getting drunk every night. She's finally begun to seek treatment and AA but it's been very difficult for her and she's had a ton of setbacks so

Reading accounts like these make me nervous.

Yeah, I live on the coast and we are prone to occasional tornadoes and hurricanes. I'd take a hurricane over a tornado any day because you generally know they're headed in your direction and can make plans to evacuate and/or hunker down.

I get where you're going with this, and I'm sure that was a truly horrifying experience. I actually read this story a few days ago on the Weather Channel website. That article included an interview with the groom where he clarified that they were on the back end of a storm that was headed in a totally opposite

I was under the impression that this happened during every wedding in Kansas.

I guess I should've said "as long as it's not hurting the dogs" then. I guess I didn't think about it like that. Plus, now that I DO think about it, if I had tried to put anything that smelled as strongly as nail polish on my dog, she definitely would've licked/chewed.

I had bad asthma as a kid and by law I had to keep my inhaler in the nurse's office. Kids need to take medication on a daily basis during school hours for a variety of reasons. Who's going to dispense meds? I know you need some sort of training and license to do that.

Well at least it doesn't appear to be some spin-off of the 80's/90's Paperboy video game. And at this point, I wouldn't expect much more from Hollywood.

I just can't get over the fact that someone would actually spend their day doing this! What kind of self-aggrandizing lunatic thinks they have the right to intrude like this? Preying on people when they're in such a vulnerable and traumatic position to begin with. Makes me sick.

As someone who - just yesterday, in fact - struggles to run 2 miles, my mind is blown. That is truly amazing.

True. IMO this is basically a colossal waste of time, but it's not hurting the dogs, so fuck it. Do what makes you happy.

I am violently allergic to cats. Just reading this article is making it hard to breathe...

Not to mention that in all her years of hurdling, she's probably taken an unfortunate crash or two. Can't imagine "everything's" been left...intact.

I mean, good on her if that's what she wants to do, but people talk about her virginity because at some point she mentioned she was a virgin. Why even announce it in the first place if you don't want random people/the media talking about it?

Weird. Is it really because people are stealing them? Or is it a safety concern?

JFC.
