Square-Enix and ridiculous “how is this even a thing” crossovers
The hand cursor is part of a debuff that currently exists in game, albeit magnified in size. I’m assuming that, in combination with those chocobos swirling around players’ heads, it represents the confusion buff that only allows you to run forward in the direction the finger is pointing!
OH man people are going to play the crap out of this mini game. After Yoshi P just flat out said “no blitzball!” during the keynote this was totally an unexpected turn around. Given there’s no player collision in game this would be a first. One screenshot shows the classic hand cursor over someone’s head hinting FF…
Free Stormblood will be awesome for keeping the Eureka exploration zone alive!
WILD AND PURE AND FOREVER FREE!
It’s kinda stupid, but I kinda love it. From the screenshots, it looks like it could easily be interpreted as just a Wipeout-y obstacle course instead of overtly being a Fall Guys crossover.
Literally half the game will be free with the coming expansion.. No need to throw it into gamepass when you have so much content that’s already free.
Just pay for the game like the rest of everyone else.
Stepping stone for FF16 to come to Xbox as well?
Totally surprised by this. Good for Xbox gamers, really.
Finally, the 3 xbox series owners in japan rejoice
Still, a cool thing to do
Aaaaaaaand, what wonderful timing, they’re also expanding the free trial through Stormblood which opens an absolute fuck ton of new, really good content.
As a FFXIV player, I welcome more people being able to try the game out.
Huh, never thought we’d see this.
Love these two. A great refinement of the Awakening format. Seasons just beats Ages for me since it was a low key remake of the original LoZ, and Ages commits the blunder of having two water temples in a row.

I think Minish Cap also was helped by them not feeling like they had to completely copy the existing Zelda formula. MC was not just a much tighter gamer, it was also physically tiny, but felt huge. (And not just because of the shrinking mechanic.) It was and still is one of the densest Zelda games I feel like I’ve…
I’ve always preferred the 2D Zeldas (I do have several 3D Zeldas, but haven’t really gotten into them), and I used to own the Oracle games. Very happy to see these return.
But like I said, the weird thing is I love Minish Cap! I dunno how much overlap there is between the Oracle games and Minish Cap but I assume it’s pretty similar. Maybe the experience they had from making the Oracle games helped them level up enough to make a classic Zelda game.
You aren’t the only one wanted a Links Awakening-ish remake of both these games, ideally in a package that includes both for a reasonable price. These are my favorite Zelda games of all time, and i have bought them sooooo many times (I have them both physically as well as digitally on the 3DS as well)
That damn unskippable dance puzzle...
Would be nicer if we could buy them.
