Andor was great but it still takes place in this overused time period. I’ve seen enough Stormtroopers and Imperial commanders to last a lifetime.

Mandalorian: “Alright let’s really push some boundaries and set it on a different sandy planet with Jawas! And then maybe a grey sandy planet!”

Andor is by far my favorite, but Im not quite sure what you mean that not enough people watched it since It did(is since its not out yet?) get a second season that was already confirmed to be the final

Tatooine is also an entire planet. Why must we hang out at Mos Eisley?

Can concur. Andor was one of my favourite spinoffs and I hope we get more shows like that.

Andor is well worth waiting for, for however long it takes for Hollywood to get their heads out of their asses and pay people what they’re worth and deserve.

Well good news, then - Andor is great, and not enough people watched it.

This. So much this. It’s okay to move on, Disney. We’ve had more than enough movies/shows/games revolving around this time period. Hey, how about you explore the Old Republic a bit more? I heard there are some really good games set in that period.

I’m just curious if every planet will have exactly 1 city and 1 biome like in the movies.

Why do you have to do work for Jabba? There’s a galaxy worth of crime lords to explore. Continually reusing the same cast and setting unnecessarily is lazy writing. The lore attached to Tatooine was that it was easy to disappear there, ostensibly because very little important happened, so having everything important

Please, stop making me visit Tatooine

I don’t mind its inclusion, as long as it isn’t where more than 20 percent of where the game’s important content takes place.

I don’t mind it being a more major place for stuff around ANH simply because Jabba clearly had a huge amount of influence with the Hutts, and it was his seat of power, and that alone should have ensured it was more major than an actual backwater like eg Dagobah which was truly remote.

Your logic is pretty circular. You acknowledge other syndicates exist, but have created a foregone conclusion where you have to interact with jabba, and therefore must go to tatooine to do so. And if you’re on tatooine, then you obviously have to tour the jabba the hutt theme castle and gift shop.

I will get a decent sized tattoo of the writer and character who write/use the doomsday device that obliterates that overexposed boulder of a planet.

I feel like this is critique is not this game’s fault for two reasons, it’s the first open world game in Star Wars history and set between ESB and RotJ and it’s about crime syndicates which operate in the outer rim and we’re not going to visit Tatooine or work for Jabba? Second, the games and media that came before it

And even when it wasn't Tatoinne, JJ Abrams couldn't resist a clone in Jaaku for the Force Awakens. No better indicator as to how creatively bankrupt this franchise has become that Tatoinne. Always bloody Tatoinne

It’s a shame that Star Wars continues to be a “story” and not a “setting”. I’m personally just tired of every single thing coming out having to tie back to the Skywalker story, it really ruins the sense of building a universe if everything all has to tie back to this one story for cheap nostalgia gains.

Yeah! Let’s go to Jakku, the OTHER sandy desert planet that was identical in almost every way except for lack of any cities we saw.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I honestly have always found Tatooine to be one of the least interesting planets of the franchise. I’ve never understood why it’s so popular.
