Mouth haptics seems... like bad news all around? I mean, I guess there’d be people who’d specifically be into that, but...?

I’m just sad we can’t get more F-Zero tracks in Mario Kart, at least that was something

It looks like basically the same piece to me? In the first case, it works, because it looks like her dress draping over her belly. But it just doesn’t hold up from another angle and pose, where we can see the bottom of the piece, and it looks less connected.

Square Enix remains huge, THQ used to be bigger before it died, I feel like none of this has significantly changed the number of megacorps

So, the question is, is that just Eidos’ fault; or is that, say, the fault of Square Enix putting them on a too-long-overdue, bootleg-looking, excessively monetized live-service Avengers game nobody wanted, which helped kill any potential hype for their GotG game, and so on?

And if you do try to fully comply and they shoot and kill you anyway? Whoops! So much for complaining afterwards.

Their HD-2D stuff seems... reasonable, yet, but of course they’re not exactly making AAA blockbusters to begin with.

I feel like Beat Saber is the closest thing VR’s had to a smash hit, but that’s simply not enough to get people to shell out for VR immediately.

I’ve mostly seen it during bathroom breaks, some of the subscribers just got to stare at an empty chair instead.

I go back and forth on some of the Amano art ... they’re sick, for sure, but I’ve gotten used to the sprites and models and honestly prefer some of them to his illustrations. Like, 9's pretty cartoony - another direction I wish they’d try a bit more instead of going in on the same particular weird blend of realism,

I’ve been messing around with it a little here and there since 1.x, found it pretty fun. “Game Maker but simpler” is definitely where I’d put it - the limitations make it even simpler in some ways, but trying to do something it’s not really built for can be harder or more annoying. [And obviously the Gameboy itself

So the past few games - 3's DLC secret ending, the mobile game, and the rhythm game - have been teasing the existence of another world/plane: something beyond their imagination, “unreality”, a “world of fiction”...

I could probably go for some tweaks, especially with the human characters - the CGI models in the prerendered cutscenes never sat quite right with me, especially for Zidane - but I feel like it’d be hard to have fully realistically proportioned characters and then also rat people and Vivi and the Qu, and not look even

There’s already a perfectly good port onto everything, if stuck with the PS1-compressed backgrounds but for upscaling mods on the PC version. [I would absolutely kill for a remaster that was just the same game but with the original high-res background renders, but I fear most of them seem to have been lost to time :(]

Biggest thing I’ve heard on the Square side was people claiming a Final Fantasy 9 remake? Which could rule, I loved that game, but I’d also be nervous to see it touched.

Nomura really just did some of the character designs, but Neo TWEWY seems to be the absolute peak of fight-your-fate time travel.
But, I mean, his regret is obviously just not being a fashion designer, and so he has to use games as outlets instead :P

Quadratum has the 104 Building from TWEWY rather than the 109 Building from IRL Shibuya... which, admittedly, might just be a way around trademarks.
I’m predicting it’s not literally TWEWY Shibuya, but will have plenty of references to it and other Square properties.

Heartless was a sick name on its own and was fine when Nobodies weren’t invented yet, then they got stuck with it. Dumb, yes... could probably have been avoided... but not unrealistic.
I find it ultimately no more stupid than electricity, where actually electrons flow and have a negative charge but whoops the

I mostly got used to it, but... I’ve mentioned it before, but it absolutely kills me that there were higher-res backgrounds for 9, but that they’ve mostly been lost to time :/
Wouldn’t be surprised if the same was true for their other games in this era. If they’d archived all their work properly, these games could’ve
