So the Came- is definitely because it’s supposed to be a camel, right? So why is it not!?

The N64 controller looks even weirder in retrospect, now that we know how controllers all ended up, but I still maintain it was a perfectly logical evolution from the SNES controller, from people who couldn’t know much better.
From my understanding, it was mostly included for RPGs and 2D platformers... which barely existed on it, between basically every series trying to make the jump to 3D and most of the big RPG developers moving to Playstation for the discs.
Hey, at least that iteration of “Atari” managed to get out one or two decent Roller Coaster Tycoons (mostly thanks to Frontier) before entirely torpedoing their brand!
I have a Wii that can play GC games, and I’ll always hate myself a little for not buying all the GC games I could when they were pretty cheap.
You know, a comic-y look could actually work great for F-Zero; the menus of X desperately wanted to be, Nintendo absolutely loves shading their cels these days, I think it’d need to be kept much higher detail to keep any of the F-Zero vibe and there’d definitely be naysayers no matter how well they pulled it off,…
Look, I’m an avid Discord user, currently very active in one unofficial fan server (it’s a decent size, but split up enough and full of enough lurkers it’s not too busy) and periodically checking in on a couple more when I’m interested. They can be great!
Band kids have BEEN using fingerless gloves! (Well, clarinets and flutes, anyway; everyone else can use proper ones.)
Random side note: the half-joking complaints about Hollywood and the MCU’s “ginger erasure.”
I believe I remember hearing once Irish used their word for “black” for, like, demons, so actual Black people are instead described with their word for “blue.”
I feel like Percy Jackson’s well and fully trodden the “oh hey, the Roman stuff exists too and is just slightly different!” ground.
Feel like I should be trying to say something insightful, but the only thing that comes to mind is:
Wish Kinja would let me see replies to my comments so I could star the actually thoughtful reply, instead of only seeing it in my notifications :/ or even if "show pending" didn't cut everything down to 5 replies per comment tops, that'd also work!
As a big Godot engine fan, it’s a little sad to see the first major game using it is... sort of a train wreck, but... Unity’s survived worse, I’m sure it’ll recover.
IMO, you only really have to just skim over some of the reviews to make sure the game actually works on people's computers, and then the funny ones for the actual selling points.
As I understand it, they did that so no one could sue state officials over enforcing it, and then winked at the Supreme Court and got a nod back.
I think there’s a place for games without much real conflict; I enjoy a few myself. But when combat’s a focus and there’s any semblance of a story... it seems kind of unavoidable to me!
Unrealistic, perhaps, but wet roads are a cinematic staple of the genre.
I’m glad the lines where I am in the US were mostly virtual. It took a bit of checking everywhere every so often for a while, but once I got in somewhere close, that was that.
Though hilariously, I believe at some point, they put some version of Rogue on Steam, and tagged it as Rogue-like.
