That’s why I said I’m not sure the term “piracy” holds any real meaning here. Technically, it may be piracy but if you’ve already paid for the product, is anyone losing money?

A multiplayer looter shooter isn’t very good?! But that genre is always pure quality!

Is this a loss or a win?

The main reason F1 is garbage in the U.S. is because the prices to see the race are insane. The Las Vegas grand prix grandstand tickets started at $2,500.

It was cheaper for me to fly to Belgium and get a 3-day pass for the race instead.

Yeah it’s sort of this weird self-fulfilling prophecy. Games don’t need to be that big, but when you’re a giant company with a huge head count, it costs a lot to make a game because of headcount (the single biggest expense in many businesses), so you make a big game to justify all those people, and because market

Yeah, those marketing budgets are fucking ridiculous.

Maybe there's some truth to that but it's weird you post that on an article about bad reviews due to shit performance and a massive patch made in a shitty way and not on a post where it's more valid, like one specifically about review bombing.

Wait 12 months and get it fully patched for less than half the price.

Real heads (old people) know.

Your First Look At Armored Core VI In Action, A Mech Game By Elden Ring Devs

I’m choosing to believe that they’ve spent all these years doing Soulsbourne games just to build enough clout for a new Armored Core to have mass appeal.

Having played plenty of Armored Core I can say the video looked pretty representative what gameplay is like, just with fancy camera angles instead of being fixed behind the player and the HUD off.

Nobody in this thread appears to know the actual definition of a natural monopoly.

It is arguable whether it’s a “natural” monopoly. Microsoft has done everything short of openly admit that Game Pass does not make them money. Their entire strategy is to grow as rapidly as possible to kill any competition before it starts. And if your entire business strategy is specifically designed to maximize

One of my favorite things about S3 is that it resurrected Data and undid Q’s death. They could’ve (and should’ve) brought Data back in S1 and fixed that colossal fuckup from Nemesis, but instead they got cute with it. Then realized, no, people actually really do just want to see the TNG cast come back. They have the

Strange New Worlds seems to be doing it right. As much as I loved this last season of Picard, it was effectively the same thing we’ve been seeing from Discovery for years now. There’s no reason that last season of Discovery couldn’t have just been a really interesting exploration of the status quo in the Alpha

I can tell you how it’s gonna go. It’s gonna go to the courts where it’ll get bogged down in endless legalese, until DeSantis gets termed out and fucks off, and whoever his replacement is quietly drops the matter entirely.

So natural to own the biggest cloud tech, the major OS that will be allowing these games to be played. Microsoft should've been broken in the 90s but they were allowed to get stupidly big.

Now playing

The Starfleet Command series is a blast when you want to get your Wrath of Khan starship battles on. Great soundtrack too.
