I think it’s smart not to have the Big Bad overshadow the core team. We know these guys are threats because of what they’ve done in the past, but the stakes are just a hair lower because they have also been soundly defeated in many ways throughout the MCU. Letting the agents shine is how we should go out.

So true for GM cars. My Cruze (bought it new, back when Cruzes were better than Civics) gains value every time it gets fueled. Guess that makes me a sucker. Whatever, still an entertaining daily.

I’ve never had a problem in stop and go. When you really start to question your love for a manual is when the traffic is crawling juuuuust a bit slower than idle in first. That sucks. Stop and go is fine.

I drove manuals in hours long traffic on the 405 in LA. It’s shitty, but it’s shitty in anything. It wasn’t enough to make me want to quit the clutch.

The analog of analog seems apt. For a while there were no mainstream turntables in production, only super expensive DJ aimed equipment. The vinyl fans made due with old equipment, often going to great lengths to get prime examples back in working order. Read more

That kind of gatekeeping is never done for white roles, though. No one complains when an English character is played by an American and vice versa. Man, I really miss older Assassin’s Creed. Aside from the gameplay that I preferred, the old UI had just enough info to be effective, whilst also looking beautifully minimal and futuristic, which made sense within the game’s lore.

Yeah, I agree, there’s not really much stuff to carry over. I’d imagine if you compared everyone’s end-game save files, the only material differences would be materia loadouts, which you are constantly changing anyway.

I’m still not over how they didn’t anticipate FF7R being a massive success.

I’m sure the graphics will be amazing, as well as microtransaction being removed from the game to justify the price in crease. Read more

Charge more for the game, that’s fine. But if there are mtx in it (and I know there will be) that's just pure shitty greed.

Hot takes: Games were overpriced for much of their existence. Publishers have driven up the price of development, not the market. Developers — the actual people working on the games — are about as likely to benefit from the inevitable price hike as consumers are. Read more
