The answer is likely millions of dollars. Recent documents revealed that ARK got 3.5 million for 1 month on PS+. So pretty safe to say EA is getting paid handsomely here.

See, I immediately thought Legacy of Kain, but yours is more likely...unfortunately.
This is still the best Born This Way cover:
It’s a thief magnet!
Here me out.
“It’s Rings Of Power without the class and grandeur of Tolkien.”
Isn’t that the description of Rings of Power?
I can’t picture any version of Trigun without H/T as its opening theme.
Okay, but THPS 1+2 isn’t reusing any code from the original game, so it’s a pretty straightforward remake. They tried to recreate the feeling of the original game, but it’s all brand new. (I’ve never seen any word from the developers that they reused the physics code from the original games, and having played them…
I bounced off of FFTA, and I don’t think it was just because of the kiddy aesthetic. It’s also just mechanically different in a lot of ways that some folks don’t enjoy. Also after going back to it a few weeks ago, I’m not a fan of the interface.
It would be really weird to review an RPG and not mention the plot (which is the main reason to play it). Since this was a physical copy only PSP game (which matters because it blocked you from playing it on the Vita or PSTV), it will be a new game to the vast majority of buyers anyway.
Fourth different retelling of Nibelheim, if you count the anime short - Last Order: FF7. I was hoping FF7 Remake would set everything straight, but with how that game went, I imagine we’ll get a fifth different retelling in the next one.
I maintain Square is unable to write a good sequel/prequel to any of the mainstay FF games. Fun to play? Sure a few. Good stories? Not so much. Crisis Core is another example of one that...honestly didn’t need to exist. Zack’s role in the original is just to influence Cloud’s behavior, that’s it. There was no need for…
I know Crisis Core came out in the peak of Square’s reputation as creators of some of the best looking games, but jesus the original looks so good for a PSP game.
Please guys, don’t try to make me feel better about pirating all of your books -too- hard.
(I own physical copies of some, but I want a single race/class out of a big old lorebook that I’ll never touch 80% of, that’s an easy choice.)
I understand that these comments are intended for people whose main focus is ROI re: their investment into a particular company but it’s always gross to hear CEOs give voice to the idea that the only way for any company to move forward is unsustainable quarter after quarter growth and the path there requires resorting…
its reasonable as a deal alone in a vacuum. When you think about it in reality things dont make alot of sense and the price hike starts to seem pretty arbitrary.
The third-largest company in the world (by market capitalisation in 2022) complains that a company which doesn’t even rank among the top 100 anymore doesn’t let them do what they accuse their competitor of.
Listen son, they gotta slide quota here :)
The main problem is that games are now $70 AND buggy as hell on launch. Why should people pay that much for a game that doesn’t work, when they can wait a couple of months and get it cheaper and in better working order?
“Elon Musk destroying Twitter” is gaming?
