THIS THIS THIS THIS.. there needs to be more outrage at this practice of requiring an internet connection to play a game in single player.

Great in 3 more years maybe playstation can add them.

don’t get me started about locking metroid weapons in a metroid game!

Is it still review bombing if the reviews are from real players who are displeased with the game?

This must be one of those “over-the-air updates” I’ve been hearing so much about.

I would have thought that Sim City had already demonstrated this very well years ago.

It just really sucks when you finally get some free time, and you can’t even do any cafe (single player) progression because of an extended maintenance. That makes no sense to me at all.

This is possibly the most damning thing comparing GT7's spirit to the GT of yesterday.

Online-only is a non-starter for me. 100% pass. And Microtransactions for a game like GT are also a non-starter. I’ve put a LOT of time in most of the previous entries. GT is one of my favorite series of all time.

A game that requires an internet connection even for single player mode is a total no-go for me. This is just stupid.

I found them! Please send me my $1000.

To say nothing of how Sony tends to support their online components for the shortest amount of time. Even compared to Nintendo in some instances. Except, of course, Nintendo games don’t become functionally bricked after online support is removed.

I mean this is a game website, the articles are naturally going to be about games and some of those articles will cover issues with games.

I play Forza Horizon without an internet connection regularly. Of course multiplayer events don’t work, but apart from that the full game is there and playable.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen the “honeymoon” phase of a new release end so quickly and dramatically. The insane thing is, they still chose to have the network connection be mandatory after that had garnered such a negative reaction for GT Sport, that they had to change it. And that was a game that was much less

“we hear your concerns, and would like to say that we are doing our best to correct this...but we’re not.”

but it seems that, for now, Chocobo GP will remain a game where, if you want to unlock Cloud or future fan favorites, you’ll need to pay and grind.

If you’re deliberately adding features to make a game less fun, and then you’re surprised by the negative reaction to those features, that suggests that somewhere your thinking has gone awry.

The fact that the feedback they’re looking for is focused on the graphics should tell you everything you need to know. I mean sure, the graphic design they went with was a strange choice, but if they think THAT’S why no one bought the game then there’s simply no hope for it.
