Both “lagoon” and “dragoon” show up far more often in JRPG titles than random chance would seem to dictate. Maybe they’re just really fun to say in Japanese. Hell, they're fun to say in English.

Not happy with just promoting emulation of Nintendo games, now you are promoting it for Sony consoles as well? Shame on you Kotaku.
The main thing I will remember about this article was the use of the word:
“pusillanimous”.
great word.
Or release simultaneously, and send one into orbit and one to the earth’s core. Two sci-fi movies in one....
You might find this interesting. One of my favorite YouTubers, who does amazing deep dives into entire franchises, and his analysis on CoD is pretty fascinating, despite my complete disinterest in the series. But then, that’s been a constant. His waxing eloquent on various series has encouraged me to try games I might…
The original game was actually pretty true to history, at least in its structure and tone. But it wasn’t meant as a power fantasy the way the modern games are.
What a revolutionary idea. This should be able to send objects to dizzying heights.
This looks like the way to go. Back in 2010 they were talking about using a 2 mile long railgun plus a scramjet to get to 200,000 feet.
exactly this! If we could fling building materials, fuel, gasses, etc into orbit with these instead of a rocket, it would make a lot of sense. Especially stuff that doesn’t have to be reinforced/insulated from the excessive g-forces.
I could see this maybe being used to fling fuel in tanks into space for long term voyages or even fling supplies to the ISS. Even if humans stick to rocket power to get into orbit, I would think many of their supplies could be flung up there.
I have to imagine that those who defend the core games’ stagnation with “It’s for kids!” didn’t grow up with Gens I and II. Which is ironic, because if they had, they’d know many fans first met Pokemon as kids and had to deal with the non-linear progression, almost zero hand-holding, and early-series jank (who can…
No front plates in PA, thank the gods.
Confidence, specifically, in how HILARIOUS they thought they were.
How does one have undeserved confidence?
Until everything's streaming...
IP laws are so broken. Digital distribution is so broken. Nobody is ever going to fix this and it’s actually gonna get worse in the future.
I think the game’s intended to cater to either group, both are valid ways of enjoying the game.
All these “bowsers” being related to nintendo things are making my brain confused
