Hmm, Winterbottom seem to have faltered in the last 5 years, which lines up with the production of this film. Maybe he'll return to form now that it's been released! Yeah it's probably unrelated.

Not much to report, just finishing up The Big Money. It's unusual in the trilogy in that the first half is mostly a two-hander between Margo and Charley, but the second half is much more recognisable. Also 1919 was awesome.

In You, the Living, when I realised the scenery outside the room was moving and that, wait, holy shit, did he build a set on train tracks?! One of my favourite moments in any movie ever. And then the rest of the scene. Extraordinary.

Our English teacher was pretty cool, the movies he showed us included Life of Brian and Blade Runner. Unfortunately I was a stupid kid and didn't appreciate it at the time.

I remember liking Gattaca the first two or three times we watched it, and by the time the class was over completely fucking hating it.

Huh, same here. I remember the opening witch scene and the ending being really powerful, and the rest being super, super boring.
