Same. My first birth was a c-section after a full 24 hours of labor. It was traumatic and made more so with the feeling that having a c-section somehow made me a failure. Thanks for nothing, birth classes. The amount to which I felt the need to mention that it was an emergency c-section. Ugh. The self-loathing.

Same with ADHD. There was one kid in my elementary school class who was diagnosed and medicated, something she chattered about non-stop. Looking back, I’m sure many other kids would have been similarly diagnosed and medicated today.

The hospital I gave birth in had tubs for labor and showers in the recovery rooms. I didn’t get to use it, but they looked quite nice.

Yes! Good Omens looks like a perfect escape. A kinda weird movie about an apocalypse that isn’t meant as horror or a hero story with a great cast.

And then you hide them away from anyone with whom you might share your home because you don’t want them used for random, around-the-house sort of stuff. 

Also, when you’re younger, you can do the longer hours and intense scheduling. There are jobs that I wouldn’t do now but am very proud to have done when I had the physical and psychological stamina for it.
