Another reason I’m glad that I’m not famous. I’ve always wanted to be one of those people who makes billions in a way that no one cares about me for it. Like inventing something common and unsexy. Money and privacy. That’s the dream.

Does Stuvio’s have a place to sit  down for a bit or more of just a counter place? I have a day in Morristown coming up and was about to ask for a lunch recommendation. As long as there’s a vegetarian option, I’m up for anything. Bonus points if it is near the performing arts center.

I’ll glance over them when trying to narrow down options. I usually look for really specific comments, generally about dishes that were really good or not so great. But yeah, a grain of salt and all that.

Story of my life. Except my choices were unpaid vs poorly paid. Mission still won out.

I don’t know what you signed, so I can’t say for sure, but generally those cover if what you said is untrue. There are also agreements for trade secrets but those specify trade secrets. Again, I don’t know what you specifically signed but it is worth finding someone to look into it.

The type of gym where $210 per month is with a student discount.

Apparently, people like us are called Xennials.

Grocery stores in Manhattan are expensive across the board. Whole Foods prices are about the same across the country so they aren’t so pricey if you’re buying mostly their house brand and certain other things that were less than the grocery store down the street. It depends on what your staples are, I suppose and if

NASA is government, that’s why it pays less. Government employees are paid less than their private sector counterparts in nearly every field.

I lived on 33,000 in NYC. I had minimal savings but I was able to live in a studio by myself in Brooklyn. I wasn’t getting any sort of allowance and was not on anyone else’s insurance, cell plan, etc.

Where in NY do you live? Occasionally, I saw them at Rite Aid (W97th) or Associated (W96th) in Manhattan. I live in NJ now and the local Stop and Shop carries them. It’s walking distance from an NJ Transit station if you want to stock up.

Happy to help! People still try to keep within shabbat restrictions, but if you are providing life-saving care, in need of life saving care, or necessary in getting someone life saving care you do what you need to do. Even in defining what is life threatening/saving one errs on the side of caution*, even more so when

“If it was really so bad, why didn’t she say something?” ^^^^This. Because of this garbage right here. The push to go along to get along.

I’M Marion-Coatseworth Hay! (sorry, couldn’t resist)

Another shitty thing about that is back in central and eastern Europe, Chassidic men worked like everyone else. There might be one guy who was particularly bright and he would study and get communal support. At some point, the communities in the US decided they all had to be holy (and to keep people from mixing too

Saving a life outweighs all other commandments, even in haredi communities, so EMTs work on shabbat.

Yup. Its public benefits fraud. They vote in blocs, so they get to keep doing what is an open secret.

Ok, crab chips and Thai sweet chili chips already exist. I’d still buy them but I’m less excited about it. As long as I’m getting punched in the tongue with a flavor and salt, we’re good.

Yup. In many of these couples, however, arranging all this extra pomp would fall to the bride. So when I hear about brides losing their shit, I feel compassion for many. They didn’t want fancy ice sculptures but went along to please their partner. In the end they spent way too long researching and talking to ice

It seems like Ms. Biel just wasn’t sure what her business was going to be. Having places where kids can play indoors while parents can watch from afar or peace out entirely aren’t so uncommon (which I didn’t know until I had a kid). There’s a great one near me that thought to add an espresso bar and wifi, otherwise
