Also, don’t ask for a bunch of them to make yourself some “free lemonade.” Not for sanitation reasons. For don’t-be-a-dick reasons.

This “professional” was teaching a pre-natal yoga class that I was already disliking and this convinced me to seek out options elsewhere.
That would make more sense.
Glad to hear Fulton has retained at least some of its original self. I haven’t been there since the greasy pizza place became a Shake Shack and Panera moved it. I figured everything would be bland chain stores by now.
Wow. That is nuts. If it is something you’ve actually seen, I believe you. I’ve become skeptical of people throwing out numbers and stats without attribution because I’ve encountered a number of people who were really woo-woo and pulling stuff out of their asses to “speak out about” c-sections. One such woman said…
I don’t know where you got the $ figures, but I had a csection in a fairly expensive part of the country and my hospital charged my insurance and me about 1/3 of that.
My doctor told me VBACs are becoming the standard professional recommendation. However, some doctors change less readily either from stubbornness or seeing things go very badly.
A sympathetic hug from a fellow mother of a 10 pound melon head. I was disappointed to have a c-section, but I have a health 8 week old trying to wriggle off my lap right now and that trumps my dream of an unmedicated, vaginal birth.
Yes! I was really surprised by the mood swings. Despite being well-prepared*, I started panicking and shaking as I was wheeled to my emergency C-section. It was awful and I’m pretty sure that if I need another c-section, I’m going to ask to be knocked out or given serious anti-anxiety drugs. The shaking didn’t stop…
I had a boss like that. When I quit, she immediately asked if it was to start a “faaaammmilleeee” (she said it like that). She was why I was quitting. Seriously. She’d caused people to go out on mental health leave and I was done.
If you can reach the TP while seated on the toilet, not so monstrous. People shouldn’t have to double check the presence of TP before sitting down, especially if their situation is urgent and you don’t want to encourage people to toddle around pantless in immediate need of TP.
Get foot thongs. Dancers wear them to be able to spin when barefoot.
I did that (brutal honesty) and it was less satisfying than I’d thought. Mostly because the people who felt they could ask me rude, prying questions had no shame so they just carried on with the conversation, oblivious. If talk of dead babies, etc doesn’t set them back on their proverbial heels, the best thing to do…
Unless she’s a reproductive endocrinologist, her opinion means just slightly more than an average doctor or even someone who has had to go through fertility treatments themselves. OB/GYNs aren’t particularly trained in reproductive technologies. That’s why they don’t do IUIs/IVF etc and why 5 of them couldn’t diagnose…
Do you recommend adoption to everyone off the bat or just those with fertility issues? At what point do you decide that they have tried too hard and should “just” adopt?
He is an artiste and that is sacrosanct. Your pedestrian laws and decency are far too common to apply to him.
Think of the job creators!
Thank you for this. When we went through multiple losses, my husband tried to be strong for me and focus on my health and well-being, especially as one loss was a potentially-fatal ectopic. That was the right thing to do but it was to the extent that it felt like he didn’t feel any grief/sadness about our losses,…
I don’t think she owes them anything but if things are good otherwise, she has nothing to lose in simply saying she’s not interested in doing certain things to her appearance.
I can do flats that have arch support or I can do full-fledged heels but anything in the middle is the worst. The arches in my feet are not super high but high enough that I need more curve than a kitten heel can ever provide.
