Damn it, now I want a bonbon or five. How much eye contact are we talking about here?

THIS.

I love my son and he is cuter than a button (nearly 8 weeks!) but I’ve yet to reach the place of wanting to do this again. At my 6 week checkup, my OB warned me about trying again too soon because I ended up with a c-section. The absolute earliest (if I was really gungho about it) was 6 months. What the...I cannot

I saw Rose blathering on when the whole stupid thing ran long and I just wanted to watch the new Star Trek. She is mind numbingly stupid. The new Star Trek was pretty good tho.

How is Rice Crispies Treats a cereal?!

I learned to embrace the scheduled-ness of it. Like when you’re dating someone and you’re pretty sure that tonight is the night you’re gonna get lucky. I made a sexy playlist to listen to on the train home which had me ready to jump on my husband when I got home instead of fall asleep on the couch. Also helpful,

Yes, but...it can lose its sheen when you’ve been trying for more than a few months. Also, when you’re tired or having to negotiate schedules so you have sex because that is when you must or you wait another [interminable] month.

“Martina, do you think you’re a black person?” Maury asked.

I’ve gone through multiple pregnancy losses and if I lived in Flint, I’d be burning down city hall this very moment. What the everloving fuck.

I’m so sorry for your losses. I also lost multiple pregnancies before having a baby 7 weeks ago. It was a dark, dark time and I withdrew from a lot of places/people that kept reminding me of the losses. Having a healthy child has helped but I know there will always be a painful scar from them.

I love your dogs already. They sound like my kind of dog, especially if they have about half the energy of most terriers. I have grown very fond of having a couch pugtato as a companion.

Unfortunately, my dog (and elderly pug) only likes to chew toys marked snuggle/cuddle. She’s cranky like that.

Dinner absolutely makes up for it.

Someone just gave us one of those giraffes. But they also brought us two days worth of tasty dinner.

Not to mention things like thousands and thousands in hospital fees. Also, people having children now are the generation being saddled with long-term educational debt that would continue past fertile years.

You have my sympathies.

It becomes a self-perpetuating problem. People start to believe that their knowledge and experience in worth little so they ask for little from employers and from funders.

They’re called Bamba. You can get them online or kosher grocery stores. My local ShopRite carries them but I’m in an area with a lot of Jews, so we have a great kosher selection.

Correct. They don’t taste good...they are delicious.

Damn, you beat me to it! Yeah, I have to do the work of 2.5 people because there’s no budget for new people when I know how to read a 990. We should all be grateful to have the opportunity to be working to solve deeply-entrenched social ills and not care about money.
