Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Maybe they weren’t that close and so the family was used to kinda falling in and out of touch? Glad they called and check was done.

Congratulations! Gorgeous window, indeed!
As of right now, her blog is down and her Twitter is locked.
In my area, there are tons and tons of people listing themselves as wedding photographers. While not giving them too much weight, a consistently low rating when I google someone’s name would put them low on my list to contact.
But think of the exposure you could get doing lots of work for free...
Good policy.
Especially with the costs of a wedding photographer to begin with. I was very lucky in that I got someone very talented who was just starting her business, so we got a sweet deal. $125 is still a very small amount in relation to her entire fee.
Awwww, Andrew is adorable. He was my favorite by the end of that season. I’m not surprised that he and Selasi put on a fundraiser but super disappointed that I couldn’t attend. I imagine them baking together would be like the best version of The Odd Couple.
Have you checked out BritBox? I haven’t used them but I get ads for them all the time and have been tempted.
I thought it might be Tamal but wondered if I’d missed out on someone awesome. He posts fairly regularly on Twitter and is adorable there too.
While it might be a matter of preference, I don’t think I’d call the US one with Mary Berry that much of a success. It was trying so hard to be the soothing that it forgot to have any fun.
Amir?
It goes against tradition but it also a matter of degree. You should absolutely be able to express preferences for a party that supposedly centers around you. Also, if you live closest to the bakery the cake (for example) is coming from it is silly to stand on ceremony and not pick it up on your way to the party or to…
Focus on process, since we Jews love process more than the final answer. Instead of framing things as “Well, halacha is/states...” frame it as “I explored it and this is where I’ve come to hold on and feel comfortable with these questions.”
Yeah. I had a manager/ department head whose ambitions were so overwhelming that no one underneath her was allowed to even be perceived as making a mistake. It was awful. She was rewarded and everyone else was screwed.
If the paperwork was already completed, then he could get the plates from the DMV and take them with him instead of getting interstate transit paper plates.
I have no idea what The Nosh has to do with this but now all I can think about is an everything bagel with egg and cheese. Damnit!
I don’t think he’s unemployable after this. His firm was doing pretty well before he tried to sell so he’ll find some gig in finance and be ok. He’ll be “poor” by the standards to which he has become accustomed and the standards of those around him but still better off than 98% of the US.
My mom was part of an interior design firm that was chic among celebs for a while, so she (and I*) got to see a version of them that was un-managed by PR and predated social media. It was a real mix of personalities but if I could find any sort of commonality among the good eggs it would be people who’d established…
It reminds me of when you hand a kid a sheet of rub on tattoos and they go to town.
