Agreed, it's one of my all-time favorites. And Kurt Wimmer's commentary was wonderful!
Actually, in Equilibrium, it didn't matter whether the dogs were cute or ugly — they simply didn't understand the concept of pets. Taye Diggs had a great line: "Why do they keep these animals? What, do they eat 'em?"
