Or the rifle scopes on those portable rail guns in Eraser.

Oh, Sweet Boneless Christ, I laughed so hard for Troy and his voicebox, my lungs seized up, and I almost had to call paramedics!

Well, I first heard about the show when io9 posted about the LeVar Burton episode, and I just went back to the beginning. I'm now rewatching the entire series for a second time.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed by the lack of doves, too, but it quickly passed.

"...the greatest half hour to air on television."

Awesome! With my bad back, I've always tried to avoid jobs that involve heavy lifting. I could definitely handle one of those machines, though!

I read somewhere that after the last plane leaves South Pole Station for the winter, the 50-odd members of the caretaker crew hunker down and watch The Thing.

Yeah, I was really impressed with the writing in the Hawks version. Great dialogue!

Hehe, I was just reading Scalzi's article, "Things Science Fiction Film Has Ruined For Me", and I love this little anecdote...

Funny how two episodes have gone by where people have gone missing after dark, and nobody's mentioned the Slashers. It's just been "Maybe the Sixers got 'em!"

Okay, so, in the Pilot, it was made very clear that one doesn't venture OTG (Outside The Gates) after dark, because that's when the Slashers do their hunting.

I saw a Japanese tourist at the airport about 20 years ago wearing a Kaneda jacket, and I've been looking for one ever since, even though I can't afford one. (But I did find a nice li'l blue/white aluminum capsule to hold my medication in!)

Yes, I saw Moon. Hated it.

Let's not forget Yancy Butler's best work (in her first role, sadly) as an android cop in Mann & Machine.

I loved all three of the Matrix films, and I've never felt the need to justify that.

Favreau just wasn't given enough time for the sequel; they should've given him an extra year.

Well, to be fair to the Favs, he did express strong misgivings when the date for IM2 was announced so soon after the first one proved successful. He said two years just wasn't enough time.

Well, I've never been a fan of Rockwell's anyway, so all his attempts at humor/intensity fell flat for me.

Yeah, I always liked the Talon's paint scheme better than the Falcon's.

Soooo, the Angels and the T-birds only use planes that're on their last legs? Suddenly my confidence wanes.
