I've only ever heard the Beatles' version of this song, and I didn't realize it was a cover for them (though I probably should have guessed, since a lot of their early songs are covers). This version is amazing though.

I'm gonna start using "tortuguousity" as much as possible.

This is now on my list of movies to see. I really like Shakespeare (I even sort of have a soft spot for the Decaprio Romeo + Juliet movie).

Yes, Greylock. The view from the top is pretty, and there's an observation tower you can climb up, too. I'd actually to go back there, because my camera ran out of batteries at the top of the tower and there was no way I was going to make it back up after climbing up once.

Yes, and he started in the South, which is what you're supposed to do if you're planning on walking the whole thing. If I remember right, he gave up somewhere in Virginia, skipped to Mt Katahdin in Maine, then went back and did a couple sections in between.

I read the book when Mrs. CleverGuy and I were preparing to go backpacking on the AT in Mass. I thought it was a great read (though he didn't actually talk much about the part of the trail we were on), so it's a shame to hear the movie isn't very good.

Ok, so I didn't just completely miss any subtext or something. Good to know.

I'm replying to myself here, but I also wanted to say that after watching the trailer there is nothing recognizable (to me anyway) as Shannara in that clip. If not for the title, I'd never have known this was supposed to be based on those books. But, it has been awhile, so maybe my memory is just wrong.

Really, Shannara is getting made into a TV show? I enjoyed those books for awhile, along with the Dragonlance series. I haven't gone back to revisit them in a long time, though I have a feeling they don't hold up as well as I remember. Odd choice to start with Elfstones instead of Sword though.

I liked Bones back in the day. I sort of lost interest a couple seasons ago (after Booth and Bones had their baby), but it was always a consistently entertaining show. Also, I enjoy being able to prove someone quibbling over something minor like that wrong.

Since the departure of Dr. Brennan's assistant Zach in season 3, they've had a rotating cast of interns at the lab helping out on each case. These characters are referred to as "squinterns," and have included celebrity guest stars in the past (notably David Allen Greer as a kids' science show host who played

I don't know how they manage to get any pictures—every time my kid does something that I might want to take a picture of, by the time i get my phone or camera out and ready he's moved on to picking his nose

I love Animal. But there's a distinct lack of heckling in each of these performances. Where are Statler and Waldorf? Seems like a wasted opportunity.

Everclear is still around? Good for them, I always sort of liked them.

I think that "person who gets to choose which words are put into the dictionary" (or 'lexicographer' if you prefer) is on my list of dream jobs. With my background, I think I have a better shot at this one than at foley artist, and given my financial situation it's definitely more practical than "independently

French Toast Crunch is an abomination on par with "Sprinkled Donut" flavored Cap'n Crunch and Chocolate Cheerios.

They do that on purpose, just when you think you're starting to understand everything they're saying. It took me weeks to figure out that [I can't even figure out how spell the sounds he was

Oh no! We have to stop it!

Will the plot be kicked off when someone has a vision of the future?
