I don't mean this specifically. I mean the parents of the minor disliking the person he or she is dating, and calling the cops on them when they turn 18. That happens a lot.

The problem is that you could replace "of the same sex" in your last sentence with "of a different race", or anything else that the parents of the minor would find objectionable. This isn't just a problem with queer kids, it's a problem for everyone.
