How “The Abominable Bride” got an Emmy is more a mytery than the ep. itself. Nobody asked for a Victorian “Inception.” :p

Yeah—the network played it safe by insisting REVENGE continue with the same characters, and that killed it because there was nowhere for it to go but into cray-cray-soap action. And agreed about Cookie—that’s a character we haven’t really seen before, so it’s a shame she’s not the main lead.

LOL!! The Shutter Island one is classic bad. :)

Relatedly—I’m a longtime mystery/thriller fan, and there’s a reason the tougher (mostly women-authored) subgenre of“domestic suspense” has been popular way before GONE GIRL. Writers like Dorothy Hughes, Elizabeth Saxnay, and Helen Eustis made careers on the theme that the “most elite, worthy” people had the worst

LS has never gotten the props it should—it was way better than FRIENDS, which owed a suspicious amount to it.

IIRC, Empire was only supposed to be a limited-run series. When it went huge and Luscious’ character was breakout, TPTB renewed it. Very much like what happened with REVENGE, which was supposed to feature a different vengeful lead every season.

...or that ISIS controls the internet now and since it’s ours, we should take it back. One of my favorite “Wut?” debate moments. ;)

Yeah, boy. Just as bad, scripted shows have picked up reality show-type plotting, where “water-cooler moments” and endless cray-cray twists take precedence over a story that makes sense. (EMPIRE and Shonda Rimes, I’m side-eyeing you. :p) Between that and uber-awful characters, I’ve bailed on a lot of shows.

Ha--that was “Pusher.” Boasted one of XF’s best Mulder/Scully faceoffs ever. ;)

Gah. The surest way to get an earful while he was in office was to ask any non-white cabdriver their opinion on this scumbag. He and his police-thug minions regularly gave those guys hell. :p

Now, now. Down deep you really want to stay in this verse long enough to see Ted Cruz and some luckless wench shimmy away to Ginuine’s “Pony,” right? 😈

And tormenting Hillary is arguably how the GOP has finally outsmarted itself. They are evilly good at the long political game. But the decades of shit they’ve given her has taught her their playbook and made her stronger with every attack. She’s learned about them the same way Magneto learned about Shaw in X-Men. And

Yeah, boy. A debate ain’t hardly a campaign stop. And the format decidedly does not play to Trump’s con...er, strengths. ;)

...and the 2020 presidential race begins its grisly baby steps. Lest we forget!! ;)

One strongly suspects that wasn’t sugar Trump was apparently high on. ;)

My kingdom for some forensic accounting on this dude.

And that was exactly the way to handle him. Those who dish it out can seldom take it. ;) I would give a million to see her experts’ psych workups on him.

Yup. :) The reason why Warner/DC is struggling and Disney/Marvel isn’t is because Marvel pays attention to the basics and took time to lay in establishing character groundwork. They are playing a long game--whereas Warner/DC is reacting short-term.

Damn straight. :) One of the best vehicles I ever drove was my grandfather’s pickup truck. That bad boy stayed the course on some of the curviest mountainous roads West Virginia had to offer, and was one comfy ride. It and my dad’s VW Bug were my first automotive loves. ;)
