The Ewoks have an understanding of religion!
You lose perspective on what’s too little and what’s too much when you spend the vast majority of your entertainment career choosing not to wear a shirt.
That Obi-Wan was hiding out and not doing a lot of good deeds is canon, though. Frankly, it’s making him seem far less jaded that he is doing occasional stuff.
That's not a plot hole.
Agreed. In fact, it would be a massive “fuck you” to the audience to have them NOT meet in this series.
Young Luke was annoying. Old, cranky Luke was awesome.
Of course… it will really break the canon if Obi-Wan and Vader meet at any point before A New Hope, but we’ll see how Obi-Wan Kenobi handles that.
You’ve got to know this, but it sounds like you’re saying you didn’t like that Luke exiled himself and “now” Obi-Wan is too... Obi-Wan and Yoda gave up long before Luke did.

Exactly. Sloppy writing on Lucas’ part, but you can retcon it since the message was clearly recorded under duress with little time.
Love the episodes or hate ‘em, I think we can all agree on one thing: Flea’s performance was pretty awful.
to be fair they did say post episode 3, after her death literally no one talks about her
You need a bug bomb to deal with the Flea canon.
I think it’s worth noting when you raise the point that Reva’s plan is fairly half baked is that... the show itself knows it’s half-baked. The Grand Inquisitor is PISSED at her because of how half-baked it is, because even in this era you can’t just go and kidnap a prominent Senator’s daughter to use as bait.
Episode 2…
The more interesting thing is how the tropes of fantasy storytelling have changed since 1977. Obi-Wan hanging around the desert for decades keeping an eye on Luke is lifted from Lord of the Rings (as is the idea of a far-flung agrarian community being shaken up by a terrible weapon). It’s a throwback to a more settled…

“What of the reports of a Rebel tire cache near Sullust?”
“It is of no concern!”
Finally, we now know why there are no tires in the Star Wars universe.
Why is he hiding tires? And from whom?
