Andor made me finally recognize I wasn’t enjoying The Mandalorian and I no longer have to keep going back to it because there’s other stuff out there. I don’t think it’s a bad show, it’s just not my thing so I’m glad there’s more space (ha) for all sorts of Star Wars things.

Is this so they can set-up a Secret Wars II (or rather, a second Secret Wars II) in time for the Secret Wars movie, just like they did for Civil War

The logical thing to do after you’ve dumped billions into VR: It’s Just Your Office™ that no one wants is to start copying whatever Elon Musk is doing. Zuck, you’ve done it again!

No offence for the apparent legions of his fans, but who the heck is voting Deathstroke? His whole personality is “Solid Snake but less interesting”

Makes sense. You don’t want to show up in theatres one week after Mission: Impossible... or, two weeks after Barbie

I would pay to see the original cuts of the original films, although I think part of Lucas’ deal selling to Disney is they can’t release any of the theatrical cuts without his Special Edition edits. He won’t even give the original prints to the National Archive (and they refuse to accept the altered cuts he gave them)

She’s been such a huge part of both Google and YouTube becoming as dominant as they are today, but she’s also responsible for all the worst ways these sites mine data, prop up hate content, and shove two whole ads in your face even when you’re trying to watch an 8-second clip

Looks like this is gonna be similar to Argo: technically this all happened, but it wasn’t as dramatic as all that

No offence to the actor, who did a great job with the material, but nothing in the Hawkeye show made me think Echo was an interesting-enough character to do a whole show focused on her. Same with Agatha, tbh, but at least that show has the promise of “it’s a bunch of witches witching about”

This is sad that we actually got a break from Goldsman but David S. Goyer keeps writing for films.

Let’s not forget Who Fears Death already has a prequel, Book of Phoenix. Very excited we’re getting more stories in that incredibly terrifying fantasy dystopia.

And most people who haven’t quit yet have stayed because they need to work there for their visas

I’d say not being able to block Elon will push more people off the platform, but if you haven’t quit already you’re a glutton for punishment and this will just entrench you even further

We pee in a society

I think we’ll reach true Peak fanservice when studios start throwing in cameos no one actually asked for. We’ll get a few years of “hey look, it’s all the James Bonds again” until we hit diminishing returns with “hey look, Topher Grace is back as Venom... that’s what you wanted, right... right?”

2022: make some bold investments

Geez. Plus Kikaleeka’s right about the Perlmutter connection, a nightmare it seemed like Marvel had finally escaped

I’d drink a Sucker Punch... hopefully with a side of 300 nachos

So he basically was upset about the way Chapek had been handling things and instead of waiting to see how Iger would react, he threw a tantrum until he found out things were gonna go his way anyway?
