It’s refreshing to see Gunn get out in front of this type of rampant speculation, but I’m a little confused why he dropped the news that Cavill was out now as opposed to announcing it with the rest of their new slate in January. Like, of course the Snyder bros are gonna take the information badly, but without anything…

Same with Titanic, a movie where you know the ending ahead of time. This makes Jimmy Cameron the opposite of Zack Snyder, whose films usually open big (Justice League not included) and have a humongous drop off the following week-end (Justice League still included, there).

So it’s somehow simultaneously cancelled, half-cancelled, not cancelled, and still in development hell?

Never read the books but when the first trailer for that movie dropped, I was ALL IN on the concept. So I’m cautiously optimistic?
