I agree with that last point, actually.

Why is "Fire + Water" hated so intensely, by the way? It's not very good, but as far as Charlie episodes go, "The Moth" made me cringe more.

2.11 THE HUNTING PARTY B

Thank you; I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who liked that scene. Lynch probably wrote that song; he tends to write extremely simple lyrics.

He was equal partners in creating the show with Mark Frost. They oversaw the first season and the beginning of the second even when they weren't writing/directing. And those episodes are mostly excellent. After episode seven of the second season, though, there's a steep drop-off in quality.

wtf
Did we see the same episode? This was typically lumpy Walking Dead gravy. The scenes involving the cannibals were good, but the priest's story was exactly what most of us thought it would be, and he continues to be not very interesting. I spent most of the episode just missing Carol & Daryl.

I was certain that headline was a joke.

Twin Peaks has spooky moments, but they're mostly relegated to the six episodes Lynch directed.

It was in a living room, not on the grass. And those lyrics you quote are from a different song, sung by Julee Cruise.

I have a list, but no access to it at the moment. But How to Disappear Completely is number one for me.

Did you only start reading her columns recently? Because the first ten or so were actually quite good and funny. Then they became all about how hard it is to be gay and a woman (I'm not saying it isn't; I'm not a woman, but I am gay), and she hasn't looked back.

I was at the Toronto premiere for Crash, and David Cronenberg was sitting a few rows behind me, so I went up to get his autograph. I didn't want to say the same thing as everyone, so instead of his own movies, I brought up his acting in Nightbreed, and he talked a bit about it. That's the only time I ever tried to get

I'm actually in the midst of my first re-watch of the show, keeping up with these reviews and compiling my list as I go.

Hmm, now I'll have to check when I get home. But I'm pretty sure we didn't see what grabbed his leg. I only remember seeing a wisp of smoke float by either before or after the attack.

I never considered the beachcraft a mystery. It was just a plane that had crashed on the island. We didn't know originally that it had improbably gotten there from Nigeria.

2.9 WHAT KATE DID B

Thanks for big-upping R.E.M.'s last great album, Josh, but "Lotus" is where we part company - I love that crazy song.
