That's what it was meant to be, but the resemblances were superficial and didn't add anything to either book. I thought The Regulators was an uncompelling, ungainly mess. Desperation is one of his best, though.

Sling Blade hasn’t aged well at all

Mid-to-late 90s contains his two very worst novels, Rose Madder and The Regulators, so definitely skip those. But The Green Mile, Desperation, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, and Hearts in Atlantis are all great.

Googling "watch hulu in canada" (or whatever country you're in) will give you your answers.

There are… ways of watching Hulu in other countries than the U.S…

Sobbing in a bathroom stall?

I should've specified that I meant "weakest to that point". Even Worse made me stop buying his records (exception: the excellent UHF), so I only know a few songs from subsequent ones.

I'm gonna disagree with everyone and get no upvotes: though it might be his most cohesive, I think it's also one of his weakest albums. I do love two songs on it, though: (This Song's Just) Six Words Long and Twister.

Funny, I had the opposite thought, that his facial hair looked terrible (not that he could be blamed).

Looking forward to buying this for the fourth time or so.

My theory about Expose hatred is that people hated those two characters, and that was the only episode they headlined, so people home in on it for hatred, forgetting that it's the only episode featuring them that was actually quite good.

It was a great episode. These other people are out of their tree.

I think that's pretty standard for many good shows, actually.
I was just impressed they were willing to own up to that much.

They actually weren't killed off because the audience hated them (which is what I also mistakenly assumed at the time). By the time the audience was introduced to them, the episode where they're killed off had already been filmed. Darlton have said in interviews that

Wait - you skimmed the best season of the show for some reason? The President Evil season??

Or maybe just watch "Farmers Market", the best episode since season 4.

Based on everything you wrote here, don't watch season 6. It has everything you hate.

I had zero problem with Walt Jr. He was simply a minor character that helped fill in the background. I always enjoyed his appearances, and yes, that scene you refer to is one of the series' best, thanks in part to RJ Mitte.

Gloriously thick.
