I love the original Day of the Dead. Gory, disturbing, nail-biting suspense, excellent make-up.
Okay, and some overacting too.

I like these reviews, but the grades so far (B, B-, A, A-, B+, B) don't reflect what you said about this being the show's best season.

She wasn't my favourite character, but I think Jennifer Aniston gave the best comedic performance on the show.

I think she doesn't get enough credit for taking that role beyond the "dumb blonde" prototype.

Great, now so can't I.

Good to know, thanks!

This is pretty spot-on. I've only watched the first four episodes, but so far it's a little disappointing. I'm realizing now that the huge build-up (by both fans and by Netflix) was a (huge?) mistake, mostly because it's made us expect the same show, which this isn't. I've realized that part of what made the show work

In my opinion, BOB, while treated as a real entity on the show, is meant to simply represent the evil that "regular" people can do.

I don't think the reviewer meant to watch it without seeing the show. I think he meant it comes off better if you think of it as something separate from the show. I agree.

It's way too easy - and lazy - to take something down by deconstructing it to its parts.

Michael’s short-lived Dunder Mifflin competitor. (See what we mean by not particularly fruitful?)
wtf? The MSPC arc was one of the best things the show's done!

Donald Glover can always be relied on to bring the funny, no matter the quality of the rest of the episode.

I hate bitter jurors, and after watching Malcom's Ponderosa video, it seems as though Phillip will not be bitter at final tribal.

That comment makes it obvious why yours are so often the first ones - you don't read the articles.

I think she gets a raw deal from viewers. I've always enjoyed her character. Brandonoquits too, when he was on. Both have had hilarious moments.

Agreed. The last three Parks episodes (including this week's) were some of the better ones this season.

To use Todd's words to express a different view, this summed up how I felt (heh) about the episode: "It sounded like the sort of thing that would come up in a meeting among people who were trying to make a show that was like the first three seasons of Community without really understanding what made that show tick."

I'm hoping that by that you don't mean it's the only good thing on that album. Zooropa is one of my ten favourite albums, by anyone.

the intentionally one-dimensional performances

I was disappointed with The Ice Harvest. It's not very suspenseful, and that though it has all the noir elements, it has none of its atmosphere (the femme fatale falls particularly flat). And I never understood the love Animal House gets. Just not funny to me.
