mm yes, jokes about using exploited gig workers to ignore the labor movement of different workers.

I wouldn’t doubt they’ll have a warranty recall for those module-less trucks once the supply is back in check.  No comment or investigation into that.  Journalism.

Clarkson is far better in print honestly. Dude really is a talented automotive writer.

Lowering the budgets of the Grand Tour would make the show watchable again. Some of those specials just seemed like they asked Amazon for “all the money” and were left to create something expensive.

Yup. Some people really, really want to claim the mantle of victimhood. I guess that “I drove across the country, and nothing happened” isn’t clickbaity enough for Jalopnik.

This was a weird article and I think it was pretty tone deaf. Unless he’s omitting something, he was never in any real danger. It felt like kind of a slap in the face as someone who might *actually* be a victim of a hate crime - a relatively flamboyant black city boy. What are his concerns? That someone might think he

Oh, a look.

Maybe if you were capable of meeting people from different walks of life and, you know, treating them like humans, you’d have a better time outside of your little bubble.

I felt attacked from all sides — the bullying tractor-trailers on the highway, the flatness, the cold, the constant anxiety about where it would be safe to piss.

hey Erik, I’m curious, if you were to walk in to a store with a mask on, did they give you shit for it? like make you take it off? was there hostility toward that? i ask because im considering riding my bicycle across the country later this year, and I will be masked when i walk in to places (im targeting 300+ miles a

I’ve got what I think was pretty good insurance. They offered me about $3,600, less my $500 deductible. By all accounts this seems like a fair valuation given the milage, even though comparable vehicles with similar milage are going for about twice that. But they told me that’s not really how valuation is

You’ll make it definitely.  I have two 100 series LCs - both with more mileage than that and I’m from a rust state.  Yours is just a baby.

Sounds boring, and potentially COVID-ish. But you are correct.

Believe it. If maintained REASONABLY well they will go across the USA (or from Bulawayo to Capetown) without anything failing or falling off with 400,000 miles on them if they are no from the “rust states”. They beat those critters across the Australian outback where a 500 mile drive is a “short trip” all the time.

Where did this come from? Lol!

A Land Cruiser at 275,000 miles is just getting broken in.

After all of this Toyota Reliability bragging, I’m going to do essentially NOTHING to this vehicle other than change the fluids.

Then I’m going to drive it 5,000 miles, and tow with it.

There’s NO WAY it will handle that flawlessly. I don’t believe it. 275k!

Why is this even a question? Of course we should take interest in alternative fuels. Almost every cool car ever made runs on an ICE. You think we should just put those away now that manufacturers are jumping ship for electric crossovers?

Everybody, EXCEPT oddly BMW, has a Hofmeister kink nowadays making it generic and tiresome.

The kink upward just forward of the d pillar makes me so angry.
