It’s stressful towing very close to a vehicle’s max tow rating, so keep that in mind when selecting your toy-hauler. Being able to do something is different from being able to do it well.

Agreed. I clicked 100% expecting to read a story about some girl in an SUV running down a cyclist. This was not at all what I expected.

Absolutely — this would have been the path to restore the kid’s faith in the justice system. Imagine if the judge had treated him like “take your kid to work day” and spent 2-3 hours showing him and his mom how things work along with a prosecutor. Might have created a great prospective lawyer / judge...

That lede image is so profoundly sad it’s crushing. Look at that body language. That is the picture of the very instant a young man’s entire world view changed from something full of hope and joy and excitement to something full of fear and anger and cynicism.

Gross. Putting new wheels and tire and a roof rack full of overland jewelry is about as tasteless as saying you “conquered” a trail any decent stock 4x4 could do.  

I never take any “overlanding” or “off-road” package from any manufacture without real rocker protection and recovery points front and rear. Without those they are just accessory sales tools/ photo shoot toys.

I am obviously ignorant here because I don’t think I ever had a vehicle with a warranty. I would think they would give you a loaner car?

What magical world do you live in where a warranty means any issue with the car are magically, immediately fixed? It must be great not having to worry about how you’re going to get to work or pick up your kids or drive to the grocery store while your “under warranty” car sits at the dealer for three weeks for the…

Go find me actual original MSRPs for cars throughout the year. That info’s not just sitting in one easy place, I’ve looked often enough.
