Yes, but if we’re talking about the world of Gossip Girl they must be scholarship kids with a single parent household and one cracked-out parent and they must be ashamed of their family. These are the rules.

THAT always makes me seethe with rage when people get all “White people found this country and no one should take it from us!” WHAT THE FUCK DID THE WHITE PEOPLE DO AGAIN?
Please, god, don’t let their be a volleyball scene!
My stepmom had amazing luck at JC Penney (she was also doing plus-size maternity which is like trying to find a leprechaun riding a unicorn towards Bigfoot) if you’re fine with not-the-most-exciting but good fit and quality. Lots of plain tees, pullovers, and cardigans, so she went bonkers with scarves and jewelry…
Yeah, I want to pretend I’m a fancy person and/or Mr. Peanut.
I was 11 and at home with my parents and that earthquake freaked all of us (my parents are from CA and had been through their share of earthquakes) the fuck OUT. We lived in a neighborhood with a ton of transplants (a lot of international students, too, thanks to being within biking distance of a university) who were…
OMG that’s totally what it is!!
For sure. I think it’s just super-easy to blame the partners and expect them to be able to offer a complete, accurate assessment of something I’d assume 99% of them have never seen first-hand.
Christ, that poor woman. I’m glad she survived and that she had the sense to hand the baby to someone (who didn’t harm the baby!) but I sure hope she got the help she needed and felt supported at home. I’m feeling generous today and hoping the husband wasn’t being willfully ignorant, and just chalked it all up to…
Jesus, that sounds amazing! Uh, no, I’ve never heard of this unless you privately hire a doula to check in. I imagine this service would be great for helping assess a number of new-parent needs.
A dear friend of mine was able to navigate this and have two uncomplicated pregnancies and two healthy kids...and she’s doing great, too. Get a doc who specializes in this for sure!! That is, IF you want kids. No pressure from me! ;)
Same with my mom - and her miscarriage was still relatively early (around 12-13 weeks). She also had PPD with me so I think she was also aware and reached out for help after her miscarriage. Not sure what meds were made available to her, if any?
I was out with some friends at a bar, guys and girls. I was wearing a tank and short-ish denim skirt (this comes into play) and this guy insisted on buying me a drink and wanted me to dance with him. I did, in fact have a long-distance boyfriend at the time who was not there, and politely declined the drink and dance…
Exactly. Like, when your parents would ask, “Is there something you’d like to tell me?” and you confess that you got into the liquor cabinet and they’re all, “Oh, I meant that you drank the milk out of the carton but cool, thanks for the free confession.”
Right? He’s just trying to lift these women up in their careers. Using his dick. Nevermind, #thanksobama.
GOD YOU GUYS I’M JUST TRYING TO NETWORK, WHY YOU GOTTA FREAK OUT WHEN I SEND YOU A PICTURE OF MY DICK IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESUME?
OF COURSE HE IS.
I got caught up in traffic in the middle of these shenanigans this weekend and the crowd was FULL of children in strollers and little ones... It’s ridiculous. I was already cranky because streets are starting to close off for Super Bowl festivities prep (BARF) and then these fuckers show up making their kids wave…
You know what makes me whip out my wallet and give allll the money to Planned Parenthood? Being stuck in bullshit traffic and re-routed due to street closures because of a bunch of anti-choice dickweeds. Because that’s what happened this weekend. Thanks for the reminder, wingnuts!
My husband and I do it alllll the time so if it’s lame know you have comrades in lameness out there with you!
