Ever increasing speeds are necessary for the ever increasing bandwidth that the data takes up. You can’t just stop and say a certain speed is good, because eventually, it most certainly won’t be. Imagine if we got to carburetors and said “welp, these work, let’s never improve on this technology!”

From the intial report:

Well Republicans tell me that arming people makes them safer and more polite, so clearly this is fake news.

I like how it is easier to get a gun in this country than it is to vote.

They aren’t going to last that long running full tilt. Wouldn’t be surprised if usage was in the 500-700Wh range. Figure a full battery is going to get you 5 hours of driving. So, on the low end 500W*5hr = 2.5kWh. Puts it in the realm of believable.

Having been through Germany’s TÜV inspection, I’m certain it would not have prevented this failure.

I’m pretty sure that was David Tracy’s AIM screenname back in the day.

EV mandates will eventually put us all in such a jurisdiction, I’m afraid.

(For the record, I like EVs. But I like ICEs, too).

Dacia’s survey confirms (to some degree) the suspicions many of us harbor about most off-roaders”

This is definitely some...

I'd rather die than live in such a jurisdiction.
