Sounds like its not the price of gas thats the problem, its the gross profiteering from companies under the guise of “boy that inflation is a killer eh? We’ll all get through this...together.”

Good lord, that’s how I read it too. It took me seeing your comment, rereading the headline, rereading your comment, and then going letter by letter in the headline to figure out what it actually said.
What does it say that I read the title as:
They made it look positively mundane, spending 2h20m total charging for a 1200 mile trip along a similar route, with stops making for natural breaks after 3-4 hours of driving.
To be fair this is basically the ideal EV road trip but this is all entirely possible with today’s technology.Yes, we need to educate people…
Alternatively, the guys from Aging Wheels and Technology connections just did a nearly cross country trip and had no issues. Highlighting articles like this serve no one.
One Smart car and one baby African elephant meets my needs a little better. Is it ok to mix and match like that?
“Amarok Time” - wasn’t that a Star Trek: TOS episode?
Strange thing is that the F-350 duallies average around 50k miles in the burbs, while the F-150s average well over 500k miles in the farms before they are replaced.
“You can’t tow anything safely down the highway without a dually. I would never hook up a trailer to anything that wasn’t a dually.” -Everyone in suburbia that has a trailer.

I mean, Ford wanted a Wrangler competitor. Significant recalls really give you that FCA experience.
That 2.7 is not a new engine - and it’s sold in pretty significant volume in F-150s. So are the failures just a Bronco thing, or do they affect the F-150s as well?
Buy a new or used 4Runner: Problem Solved
Not in the “Recharge” hybrids. The Recharges use electric only for the rear axle and gas only for the front.
Depends how soon they actually need the car, I suppose. Fun pick though.
AWD has advanced far beyond just winter conditions. Far beyond.
But AWD/4WD is better, just saying. Coming from interior Alaska ;)
How about putting your name down for a Rivian? I saw my first Rivian up close and personal at a MTB trailhead out here in the desert this past weekend and it was very, very cool. The owners had put a platform in the bed that had a RTT and then all the usual maxtrax, water, etc etc. Basically it was set up for…
The proper response to this is actually a Lexus RX350 hybrid. If you don’t care about driving dynamics -- as somebody who hasn’t driven in 9 years almost certainly doesn’t -- there’s no more comfortable car with plenty of space and every conceivable type of driver assist. I didn’t want to like my wife’s RX350, but…
Volvo indeed. None safer. Legendary seats. Plenty quick. Best AWD in the business these days.
