Bass (as in music, not fish)

I was getting gas and I heard this noise like someone was hitting a dumpster with a hammer. I could not figure out where it was coming from until I looked over and saw a rusted out POS Impala and every time the crash happened the entire car shivered.

Which is why I had it soundproofed.

“bottom endy” noises.

You generally don’t want to hear screaming.

I’m guessing that you meant "Volvo" when you wrote "Tesla" there :)

Polestar, however, is effectively Chinese.

You misspelled “Volvo”.

They are an independent subsidiary of Geely Holding; they are publicly traded and Geely owns most of the shares. Geely attempted to absorb them wholly but, though the story is all behind closed doors, I think the Swedish government stopped that from happening.

Volvo? I think you meant  Volvo. Not tesla.

Volvo is more swedish than it was when it was owned by Ford.

Volvo is owned by a Chinese company but it is still headquarted and designed in Sweden. A little like how Budweiser being owned by a Belgian company does not make it any less of a watery, American-style lager.

Honestly if car manufacturers aren’t prepared to do that, they aren’t prepared to sell vehicles labeled as autonomous

Plus, let’s not forget Volvo has agreed to hold all liability when their vehicles are in autonomous mode. I’m sure that’s part of the reason legislation is giving it the OK.

I trust Volvo more than Tesla, but that isn’t saying very much.

I just hate lazy US bashing, especially when it’s nominally to a new resident. “Hey, sorry you’re moving here, it sucks!”

You’re not buying the size because you need the space, you’re buying size because you want the ride and noise deadening.

I feel like driving and parking a 196" sedan in San Francisco won’t be super pleasant.

Welcome to America Carlos! You are likely to be disappointed in our chocolate and healthcare,”
